The whole photography debacle sums up the issues with the Beckhams. Most of them, apart from David, are completely talentless. VB is not a real dress designer. She can’t draw, draft, cut patterns etc but she has influential friends who will throw money at her vanity project. Unlike Stella MCcartney who did go and train to be a designer and learn the basics. Ditto BB he didn’t even make it past the first year at Parson’s so has no actual photography qualifications. All his photography jobs were basically achieved through nepotism. There was a story that when Sabrina Carpenter first came to the UK in 2018 he was sent to do the photos but didn’t have the correct lenses and they had to get another photographer to go out and rescue the shoot. He got an internship at Rankin and it was reported he didn’t know the basics when it was expected he would and they were just going to ‘fine tune’ him. Then there was the infamous photography book which turned him in to a laughing stock. Like his mother they just think that you don’t need to do the basics of whatever career they want to do. They think they can throw money at it and use their connections to do the fun glamorous bits. He’s now doing the same with his cookery aspirations. There’s been no attempt to learn the basics just wants to go straight to being a tv chef supported by nepotism.

I’m not the biggest Spice Girls nor VB fan but let’s not not pretend she didn’t work her arse off for her success (whether you think she was talented or not) she didn’t get anything handed to her as a pop star and she paid her dues with regards to that. Something her dc should do - pay their dues and work upwards. Brooklyn hasn’t dropped the Beckham name has he. If he was John Smith nobody would give a shit about his videos or sauces.

VB, in the doc & on her fashion business, is very much ‘I defy anyone to say I haven’t earned my place here. I am very proud of myself’ so there’s some solid self confidence & belief within her. David too. If it’s really true she doesn’t know her stuff, where does this come from?

BB must have pretty good A levels etc to have got into Parsons. Nepotism alone surely wouldn’t have cut it.

Agree. Sadly if you grow up in a dysfunctional, toxic environment, that's your normal and B may have exchanged one unhealthy situation for another. The renewal of vows thing does not indicate his wife's family are very well-meaning imho.

Are there any billionaires kids who have grown up relatively normal? Trying to think of some (without googling) Richard Branson? Alan Sugar? Bill Gates? What do their kids do? I could be completely wrong and their offspring could all be nepo babies but some wealthy famous people must get it right?

The ones who are cultured & more intellectual & intellectually ambitious for kids, keep them largely out of limelight & there’s a sense of expected philanthropy.

The VB documentary was quite eye opening about her business and how it’s david paying for it . If you look it up on companies house it’s millions in debt but paying out wages. Anyone else would have gone bankrupt and folded by now. It’s like a very expensive hobby!

Of course they will. Just like all other ‘content creators’ kids will do the same. These kids probably don’t know there is so much else they could do - especially with all the opportunities they are given and the money behind them. It’s so so sad.
