A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙* *

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

That’s very interesting….that MN is known for being filled with Guardian readers.

Well I read across the media left, right, middling including the Guardian. Does that make me a Guardian reader?

My point was more in reference to those that I have clashed with on other threads, relying solely on the Guardian as their source.

So do I. I think most of us do the same. But I'm not that type of Guardian reader that the pp was referring to.
To some, it's the only portal of truth and knowledge, and a symbol of lefty virtue. 😁

I think it was a way for the radio guy to give context to what were seen as. And why the new poll was a surprise.

But agree on Guardian sometimes seen as portal of all truth. Mind you even they loathe Starmer at times 😀

Precisely.

Happy New Year! (A little late, I know.)

We've just returned from warmer climes; the sudden transition from shorts and t-shirts to layers of wool is hard to assimilate. (Rowan Atkinson's Mr Bean character falling to earth in a beam of light and confusion pretty much sums up how we feel.)

Welcome back, and Happy New Year. Hope you've had a lovely time away.

Awful weather to come back to. We have snow and I HATE it. 🥶

Thanks so much. Justine talks about women worried about the NHS, schools and their daughters safety. Well in our family the men are too

Our snow came and then melted. However, we're due more and then freezing temps. The dog walk slide may be interesting first thing!

We have a layer of snow on top of lovely black ice. No signs of it melting as yet.
Dh will be walking our dogs until its warmed up a bit. I can't cope. 😂

I have an 'icy' route I use with minimal paths / roads. It sadly involves the woods (wide paths in the middle, not going through trees!) in the dark, but it's either that or break my neck! 😬🤣

I really really hate snow. I'm baffled by people who go skiing on holiday. 😂

Sorry I missed that wasn't quite with it waiting for the painkillers to work when I checked in this morning.

My three offspring loved skiing as young men. We have a big outdoor ski slope they learnt on from a young age while I sat in the lodge drinking hot chocolate with other mums. Then school trips, then two school mates became ski instructors abroad. So they continued going twice a year.

None of them have ever convinced their partners to book a skiing holiday with them. 🤣

Did anyone listen to the phone in about MN on LBC?

I couldn't listen but I need details. 🙏

This business about MN and Labour voters - I think I saw a button about a survey a while back. About how Labour were doing, I think it was. I didn't click on it. I presumed it was going to ask more detailed questions about currentpolicies, but I guess it's been used to figure out how the website skews now. Is that what all this media coverage is based on? The findings from that survey?
