A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

We are bracing for the budget 😬

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Someone has messed up today. Maybe someone who wants to put the knife in ? Or a genuine mistake ?

nearlylovemyusername · 26/11/2025 12:15

Never seen it like this
Leaked report ffs

And CB scrapped

OBR estimated 25,000 more families will start claiming UC due to increased generosity, it's £300m extra

If only she would fall on her sword…that’d be an upside 😂

Hopefully this will be the end. Can't see a comeback from this. Too many fuck ups to count.

the80sweregreat · 26/11/2025 12:16

The bbc political pundits have just told us the main headlines already. No point in RR even bothering now!

Well, when an organisation can't be trusted to publish a link to a highly sensitive doc at an agreed time, how can it be trusted on the content of the report it produces?

The labour government voted against the welfare cuts. Probably the reason Reeves was crying that time ( although she said it wasn’t ) she knew she’d have to keep them happy by doing this.

She must feel like crying again now….

Some evidently have in it for her.

No surprises there.

the80sweregreat · 26/11/2025 12:23

If the conservatives had leaked a report before its meant to be released the Labour Party wouid go into meltdown! Hopefully the opposition won’t let them forget this budget leak !

It seems to be almost common knowledge that this is the reason she was crying.

the80sweregreat · 26/11/2025 12:26

They should have grown a backbone and said that ‘ the country can’t afford this ‘. Obviously they couldn’t.

Catatemyhomework · 26/11/2025 12:28

What does this pension contributions above £2000 mean? Getting stressed

Catatemyhomework · 26/11/2025 12:29

Sorry I'm working and my daughter keeps messaging me from her work with random titbits.

Klipspringer · 26/11/2025 12:29

Suggestions Reeves deliberately published the OBR report early.

AlexandraBee · 26/11/2025 12:32

Feel sick

TheNuthatch · 26/11/2025 12:33

One good thing from this feckin mess, Kemi now has advanced site of the budget and should be able to deliver a killer response.

Why would the chancellor leak it early ? That isn’t how it usually plays out is it ? I doubt it would be her doing it, I bet it was someone who pressed the wrong link or something ( being kind !)

the80sweregreat · 26/11/2025 12:34

Kemi will pull it apart. At least she has the time to read it , even if it’s only the headlines etc.

The OBR have taken responsibility, calling it a technical error. Everything this government do is chaos.

To ‘manage’ the bond market. Unlikely but this is Westminster….

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 26/11/2025 12:35

Oh so it's only 25 min early?

That's ok then.

truthsayers · 26/11/2025 12:36

so voting against welfare cuts? no cuts to benefits, but increases? Taxing workers to fund those who won’t work? What a wonderful example to set people. Sit back, don’t work, skive, have multiple kids
and get paid for it.

AlexandraBee · 26/11/2025 12:38

Take no responsibility for anything. Blame everyone else. Ffs. So grim.
