A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙* *

We are bracing for the budget. 😬

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

She is great. I have to block out the bollard’s nonsense in response as too painful and not an answer. Pointless.

Just popping in to say Hi 👋

I am still here BUT there was a concerted effort by some cultists to get me banned from MN. They know who they are and it was out of nothing more than sheer spite.
I maintain exactly what I said about them as individuals and as a collective ie unable to stand challenge or criticism, mean spirited and small minded.

I am here with you all still but will be lurking rather than joining in for a while.

My satisfaction is that we were right all along and now only paid up Labour cult supporters still have a good word to say. The fact that they get their kicks from hounding others off MN says everything about them.
Labour are thankfully finished ✅️ and everyone can now see it. Hopefully they are finished for at least the next 2 election cycles.

Thank you to those on here who have reached out via PM or by mentioning me in comments, you have all kept me sane xx

They did the same to me, too.

And no matter how many times they try, they will never succeed.

Well said 👏
They think it makes them superior, it really doesn't. It just raises my levels of contempt even higher, if that was even possible 😆
I won't let them win

Rivalled · 19/11/2025 12:52

Glad you’re ok @twistyizzy don’t you just feel that quite a few people could benefit from some lessons in freedom of speech….

Ha ha yes. In particular those who frequently preach it!

Same. I left for a very long time as there was a huge bullying problem here.

Yep I’m not surprised at anyone leaving for a while. It’s been the case since the pandemic pretty much.

I'm getting really fed-up with Labour ministers stating Reeves "hasn't shied away from difficult choices" in their attempts to justify her picking non-working people's pockets.🤬

SpaceRaccoon · 19/11/2025 13:40

She's exactly shied away from difficult choices! All she's done is pander to the backbenchers (or Starmer has and made her, whatever the hell is happening there).
I remember during the Covid bonanza, Sunak gave Johnson some real pushback on the lockdown costs, he didn't just roll over.

SouthernAccents · 19/11/2025 13:42

Rachel Reeves will increase spending on benefits by £6bn in the Budget, despite calls to control the ballooning bill.

The Telegraph understands the Chancellor will confirm the amount paid in working-age benefits will increase by 3.8 per cent from next April.
Ministers will argue the rise, equal to the rate of inflation in September, is important so that the value of benefits is not eroded.

Sorry if duplicated.

Idiots.

They should say “Reeves and Labour have no idea what we’re doing and we lied when we said no more taxes”

SpaceRaccoon · 19/11/2025 14:05

Of course the value of working (or non-working, apparently) remuneration is of no importance.

Thats all they have left, just lies and bashing the tories/Reform. I've stopped listening to a word they say.

Reports today that Reeves has been courting Labour MP at a drinks party where she promised them a levy on 'mansions' (regular family homes in London). They are all too thick to understand what it will do to the housing market.

Meanwhile the tax thresholds remain static so that the take home pay of any of those non workers is less valuable relative to inflation. And with it they can pay the avalanche of additional taxation too.

They'll find out how important it is at the next election.

Not really. Kemi's questions were good and worth watching - all focused on the economy and the lies told at the last budget re thresholds.
The rest was mainly Labour plants MPs blowing smoke up their own and Starmer's arse.

I saw that. Wouldn’t they all be living in “mansions” too is or is there some way they can wriggle out of it if they are MPs - wouldn’t be surprised.

@twistyizzy nice to see you posting again even if just briefly.

From what I've read, they will assess houses in the top three bands and some of those will be deemed mansions though an as-yet unspecified process, which will doubtless exclude any Labour MP.

They really are grubby.

Also Brexit. The Brexit board posters succeeded in the end driving off anyone who disagreed.

Thanks. Maybe I'll just dodge it this week and brace for the next in that case. I only have so much tolerance for braying and footstomping.
