My take? When given the option between conspiracy or cock up - I’ll go with cock up most of the time.

The Downing Street machine is behaving like they’re still in opposition - or worse, the Student Union.

They’ve not realised they are playing in the big leagues now and that the electorate has no time/stomach for bitchy outbreaks of back-stabbing.

Long time lurker and so glad this thread has been going for a while. Really interesting thread and I was a Labour supporter including and up to new Labour but conservative since. I didn’t vote for Labour this time around either but hoped they would do good but my god what a shit show. I took early retirement and very glad as a higher tax payer with no children as I had saved for my older years so have no inclination to work and pay even more tax.

Is our most esteemed @twistyizzy around? She's not been on this thread and I miss her posts. Hope you are okay izzy.

Ed Davey called for the PM to tell Trump he shouldn't take the BBC to court for £1bn. Why? They blatantly showed him in a bad light and clearly had just one intention in doing to, to infulence the American people. Davey also the BBC impartial and unbiased. I have yet to see them show either, or any remorse. From the stitch up that was Princess Diana's interview, to hounding Cliff Richard and defending one of the most prolific child molesters in modern history, they are anything but impartial and unbiased and just a bloated maggot with the strong scent of corruption.

The veterans don't live there. It is where their Regimental Association is based.

Apparently last nights Newsnight was a disaster for Labour.
