A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

@TheNuthatch you said you thought she looked ill didn’t you? Several commentators have said the same including (apparently) John Crace from the Guardian

Yes I agree. She hasn't looked the same since the crying incident. It was really obvious at Labour conference too. I think she's medicated in some way.

Nooo I think he looks terrible! Comfort eating and stress.

He’s looked bloated since the beginning.. his hair is admirably thick though. The only admirable thing about him.

What the actual fuck are you wittering about?

Trying (very poorly I might add) to get a rise from us. Ignore her.

I think that’s probable. Being in the mire but the actual markets holding you in place, otherwise debt crisis. Imagine!

Maybe she needs some of the Christmas booze from my garage, cheer her up a bit!

Eat, drink and be merry! The sentiment appears to be lost on our Labour-loving friends. Unsurprising, really, given the horlicks their beloved party is making of being in government!

Yep. As I've said before, she should have walked, for her own sanity. She's got a young family.

I don't get why she hasn't, tbh. Nobody should stay in a job which makes them ill.

I'm not a fan of sweet mixed with savoury, so cranberries on game pie isn't really my cup of tea. Love game pie, unadulterated, though!

Just for you some game pie 😉

I like mine with prunes.

(Please don't banish me.)

You're in Wales? If it's the north, I'll be right over (we can see the Welsh mountains from our house on a clear day)! 😋

At least the rich food won't bung you up...

The Greggs mince pies were weird the last time I had them, tasted of lemon Fairy Liquid.

I like to wait till December to have my first one and then it's quite ceremonial with a posh hot chocolate.

I was one of the organisers for the national union conference many moons ago. Those guys were drinking till four am. In the surrounding hotels then during breaks at the conference centre. Hollow legs as they say

Just a few.

They melt and get all savoury and give a lovely deep colour.

I've just bought some posh cocoa powder. Will make a cuppa to honour the occasion.

So long as @Nolletimiere and @Rexinasaurus continue to post on the other thread you have me.

Brandy snaps with whiskey/whisky cream of choice.

Christmas comes via Waitrose and M&S.

Can't believe I've made it to my 50s without giving brandy snaps with whiskey cream a go. Those are definitely going on my list!

Love prunes with game, it just goes. Favourite is a handful in a Rabbit casserole.

Just don't try to make them. I had a very sticky kitchen floor after an attempt.

Politicians get what they deserve. They’re in it for vanity, influence and, post-politics, money. All of them.

But I don’t revel in their personal difficulties. I feel some sympathy for Reeves. She’s painfully out of her depth. Starmer should shuffle her away for her own good, and everyone else’s.

The trouble is that Starmer’s way out of his depth too. Frank Spencer is in charge of Mavis Wilton.

God help us all.

Frank is funny though, at least..

Girl I worked with dated Michael Crawford back in the 70s.
