A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

It is weirdly physically painful to have to listen to either of them

Agreed. I can’t. His voice is some weird nasal tedium. And her grating lilt, whilst reading from her notes. No thanks.

I can't think of any adjectives to describe how much I hate Labour.

Last night, Sir Keir gave Labour MPs a taste of what's to come by warning of the need for "tough but fair" decisions.
Speaking at a party meeting in Westminster, he said the budget "takes place against a difficult economic backdrop".
"It's becoming clearer the long-term impact of Tory austerity, their botched Brexit deal and the pandemic on Britain's productivity is worse than even we feared," the prime minister said.
"Faced with that, we will make the tough but fair decisions to renew our country and build it for the long term."

I am so fcking done with all this shit, I'm reverting to swearing.

I definitely recall not so long ago, that Starmer said in a speech 'we have fixed the foundations, it's time to move on the the second phase of our plan'

But now, now they're blaming evreyone and his wife for their realisation that they have royally fcked up! Their spend, spend, spend has bankrupted us. I could continue, but what's the point?

I am with you.

And you just know there are more lies, more
tax raids, more scandals to come.

I will never forgive these people.

The smirking, the rhetoric - I utterly despise them.

NoWordForFluffy · 04/11/2025 07:28

What surprised me during the prorogation Supreme Court hearing was just how bad all of the KCs were at orating! So that Starmer is also poor doesn't really come as a surprise. Though of all the professions, you'd have expected better from barristers!

Fucking twats! Always someone else to blame but never, ever them!

That's really raised my blood pressure. Lying, gaslighting cunts the lot of them, and include theor supporters in that who will be twisting themselves in knots to justify all of this.

Thankfully at this point the majority of the electorate see through them. Taken a while but most now feel the same as we do. They are toast and will be for many years thank God. I am just very worried about what we will look like after 3.5 more years of this bunch of twats.

upseedaisee · 04/11/2025 07:41

I genuinely fear for our future as a country. I reckon it's much worse than they are letting on and if they haven't had a quiet word with the IMF about how to get out of this hole they've dug, I'll eat my hat. This has IMF written all over it. If squeezing til the pips squeak doesn't work this time, I'm betting they have already got a deal with the IMF lined up.
Did I mention I can't think of any adjectives to descibe how much I hate Labour?

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 04/11/2025 07:45

This quote is appearing all over the news and appears accurately to reproduce Starmer word-for-word:

"It's becoming clearer the long-term impact of Tory austerity, their botched Brexit deal and the pandemic on Britain's productivity is worse than even we feared."

Even if you suspend disbelief and consider that this might be true - it isn’t, it’s a pack of lies - what Labour’s saying is that before the election and at the last budget they didn’t understand the economy. It’s not now just a (mendacious) claim about unknown ‘black holes’, it’s an admission that they had and have no idea what they’re doing in the face of all the data available to them.

Apparently they only discovered all these (fictitious) woes about productivity after they loaded massive taxes on business and showered the public sector with money.

How can anyone take these dishonest muppets seriously?

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 04/11/2025 07:46

It's to protect the NHS, it always is to protect the NHS.

Sometimes I think the NHS needs protecting from itself.

The NHS needs scrapping and start again. It's just another government blob that absorbs money. There's so much waste and corruption I despair. It's far from the flagship healthcare it once was. I think we can all tell a story about waiting lists, A&E nightmares and not able to get a GP appointment.

Agreed.
The only thing that is becoming 'clearer' is Labour's incompetence.

Yep I agree.
Its no longer fit for purpose, yet we keep throwing eye-watering sums of money at it, only to see it get worse.
