A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

No reaction required. Moving on, I hope @TheNuthatchdoesn’t feel she has to answer.

Farage and Reform have had a terrible week. That much is true. He can see the ship sinking.

No I don't feel the need at all. This is the same poster who thinks that Reeves is the best Chancellor we've had since Gordon Brown. Enough said 😂😂

I agree with you @TheNuthatch that Brexit undoubtedly did huge damage to our economy - I’m a Remainer and not ashamed to say so.

The problem is that ALL of the political parties have been too afraid to say anything for the past 9 years out of fear of summoning Farage and his ilk. Not one of them put forward any kind of mitigation to the damage caused in their Manifestos, so it’s really galling to have Reeves and Starmer suddenly claiming it’s become a problem to fit their own agenda. They really think we’re that stupid?!

placemats · 29/10/2025 19:53

You just can't help yourselves. No surprise and definitely no supporters of survivors of abuse.

Jakers I go missing for a couple of days and you've all sped ahead. Haven't got the brain power with all the morphine so I'll just say keep going 👍👍

Its good to hear from you. I hope your surgery went well Flowers. Rest up xx

@justasking111 glad you are recovering. Wishing you a speedy return to full health and posting capabilities.

SpaceRaccoon · 29/10/2025 19:58

If they think Brexit has been so damaging, and I'm not saying it hasn't had some impact, why not show some balls and do something about it then, what with being the government?

Nolletimiere · 29/10/2025 19:58

Breaking their manifesto pledges, so blatantly, may well prove the coup de grace for this dead government walking.

The electorate will crucify them.

I hope so. It’s deserved.

I voted to remain too, but I understand why so many voted to leave. That frustration is still evident today, hence what we're seeing with the rise of Reform.
Labour will blame brexit out of sheer desperation. Many of their supporters will be distracted by it, and shout and clap like performing sealions.

New story I’ve just read about RR unlawfully renting out her family home whilst in govt which breaks housing laws - now facing ethics probe.

@Julen7

I could kiss you.

It’s only in the DM at the moment but expect it will spread soon

Expect Starmer to be along soon to offer her his full support.

CalmShaker · 29/10/2025 20:17

She has to go

Well, she has form doesn’t she?

Remember her corporate credit card was withdrawn etc.

This lot are truly beyond the pale.

I hope there is more to come out - timely.

They could easily fix some of the issues with a new deal. And it doesn't even matter that it wasn't in the manifesto, as we all know that the manifesto was a work of fiction!

Nolletimiere · 29/10/2025 20:21

The Chancellor tonight referred herself to the independent ethics adviser and had to admit her error to the Prime Minister after inquiries by this newspaper (DM)

Beautiful.

I’m on hold to the DT, as we type.
