A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

I respect that @DenizenOfAisleOfShame

I do not share your view/experience, but nevertheless.

I probably have the same experience, too much of the same, tg for this thread.

twistyizzy · 25/10/2025 12:04

Yep, it's still all the fault of right wing press + bad "comms"

FFS are these people genuinely this thick and lacking in common sense? Sorry rhetorical Q as they support Labour still and make batshit statements.

EmeraldRoulette · 25/10/2025 12:17

@TheNuthatch that is so sweet of you to say
I actually meant to put a smiley face after commenting that no one was here last night! Yesterday was a particularly rant inducing day.

I'm hoping to be here less today and actually do something constructive...😂

Today was a classic example of just how out of touch Starmer is. We currently have a sexual predator roaming the streets, instead of being imprisoned and deported.
What did Starmer choose to do? Use his speech to attack the tories for wanting to deport people. Did he expect the public to agree with him, today of all days?

Hi folks - just a reminder that while there’s no rule against talking about a poster rather than to them, please keep things civil. It can come across as unfair if someone’s being discussed in a way they can’t easily respond to. Thanks.

I don’t mind if Labour blame comms and the media. I mean I agree it’s a poor excuse and incorrect, it also means they don’t change much and will be out at the next GE.

AbsentosaurusRex · 25/10/2025 12:49

TheNuthatch · 25/10/2025 11:01

Oh no, bless you 😂

On the numbers, I think I heard Mahmood say those eligible to vote was over 900K. No idea how things work in Labour, so no idea who these 900,000 people are.

It stinks.

Every member of the Labour Party gets a single vote in the leadership election. Affiliated supporters who are not full party members can also vote in the election and their votes count with the same weight as full party members.

Hence Ed Milliband won the leadership contest when he stabbed his brother in the back. He’d totally courted the unions and promised the world (or loads of extra cash in their grubby mitts). Shame really cos Dave M would’ve been a decent leader, possibly beaten Cameron and Brexit wouldn’t have happened. Still c’est la vie with Labour nastiness. Prepared to fuck over your own flesh and blood.

That was a disgraceful move by Ed. His brother was the better politician by miles and he knew it. Toxic little oik

Yes the other Miliband probably would have won.

Excellent description..

upseedaisee · 25/10/2025 13:16

I was right. The Deputy leadership is run by an alternative vote. These are drawn up as 1/3rd MP's and MEP's, 1/3rd individual Labour party Members and 1/3rd to all affiliated organisations incuding socialist societies and trade unions. So there is the 900,000 odd voting pool.
The 300,000 odd actual members of the Labour party as we mentioned earlier is correct.
So, this begs the question, who's the brave soul who would like to inform the🐱 thread they really do need to do their research🤣🤣🤣

Didn't take long, did it? 🤣

Blimey! She's really handed him his tatties.🤣🤣
Acouple of things to look at. Other than removing the whip, how the hell can he shut her up? and it's going to get worse for us all if as she professes, she speaks for the voiceless and backbenchers. It's also going to destabilise the government with all this in fighting. It's just a mess.

Good, good. Disharmony and do the opposite to what the public want, that’ll get them booted.

More worryingly though, at least if the GE were soon, it’d get reform in. They really are as thick as shit prince harry. Why would they encourage a far right gvt. Everything they are doing leads to reform. Why can’t they see that.

They really are imbeciles.

It’s only women and girls at danger, anyway.

‘He says Kebatu must have been outside the prison for roughly "an hour and a half," before he finally left, adding, "They [the officers] were basically sending him away, saying, 'Go, you've been released, you go.'

Sim describes Kebatu as being "very confused," saying, "He kept scratching his head and saying, 'Where do I go, where do I go?'

Please can we refrain from talking about the other thread and it's posters? I don't want to see this thread deleted because of it. Let's not stoop to their level and TAAT.

I know that the other thread talk about this one a lot, even mentioning some of us by name. Best for us to just report it when we see it.

Remember, it's best not to wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig likes it. 😙💙
