Labour isn't working - Thread 14

A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

I did 😂and I tried to back away quietly. That hasn't worked out so well.

I was having a quick look at the Go-Cat thread in an idle moment waiting for the washing to finish.

I think your unintended post and follow up are spot on.

Oh no, bless you 😂

On the numbers, I think I heard Mahmood say those eligible to vote was over 900K. No idea how things work in Labour, so no idea who these 900,000 people are.

I had a look at that in case there was a quirk about voting but it is just limited to members in the third round.

The only thread where grammatical purity is a legitimate response to a lying government.

Yes, it must feel pretty desperate that the government they supported is so shit that all they've got left is being the grammar police.
Says it all really.

Re:Bigot losing DL: she is less popular than someone who didn't defend CSE victims and thats the who the members prefer and support.

Says everything about state of Labour.

However I will personally celebrate with a glass of champagne, like the socialists do

100%

Akin to their beloved party, their membership is declining too - look at the number of threads @TheNuthatch has filled versus their claptrap.

If I was bothered, I would look at the ratio.

When the thread doesn’t go their way, they resort to juvenile GIFs or talk of cats - it’s pathetic.

Some of us have been hit hard by Reeves - and we are still standing. Some of them lose 100 quid/month in welfare, and its curtains.

I am going to stick up for that poster. She has been very gracious to me recently, which I reciprocated. I don’t share her politics but she’s a good person.

I’m not so inclined to be generous about many of the others who post in support of Labour. Bile and a misplaced sense of superiority seem to be their guiding principles.

I respect that @DenizenOfAisleOfShame

I do not share your view/experience, but nevertheless.

And that's very fair 🙂 She hasn't been so nice to others though.

Oh, actually - it looks like the affiliated trade union members meeting certain criteria can vote too, would that add up to 600,000 though? It would swamp the actual members - no wonder Powell walked it.

They were riding on a high of 500,000+ members in 2020.

Lucy Powell says Labour have let Farage and his ilk shape the UK narrative for far too long.

They still don’t fucking get it, do they.

It’s not the narrative, it’s the policies - the ‘narrative’ should naturally align with the policies, otherwise it’s just more bullshit from these clowns.

For the love of God.

Nope, it's still the fault of poor "comms" rather than shit policies 🙄
They will not change the narrative around this, they've drunk the koolaid

Farage's strength, such as it, is reading the room, especially in relation illegal immigration - a huge national to which KS and his band of incompetents seem completely oblivious (along with the rest of the problems created under his leadership).
