I had to go into London today for work It's probably just as well because if I had seen any news during the day today, I think I would have been even more ragey.
I'm not clear what time this particular story broke if I've been working at home I'd probably have seen it as I take a late lunch.
But the other thing I didn't know yesterday was about the Southport killer.... so I'm not sure when this news came out
It seems his headteacher warned Prevent three times, about him, was told that it was unacceptable to use the word "sinister" about him because he was officially a child, he had to be searched regularly for a knife because he was excluded from his previous school for having one... and mental health workers raised concerns about how she described him? I mean the mind just absolutely boggles.
I'm also hearing that she was accused of racial stereotyping because of the knife business - I'm not sure if that one can be true. If he was known to be carrying a knife, (and apparently his parents were aware as well), then his race is irrelevant. He was known to have brought a knife into school.
