A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Yes, extremely angry. And whilst this is making headlines because of the prior publicity about this person, I would be angry whoever it was. The prison is a short walk from the town centre. There are massive safety concerns if they are releasing people that they shouldn’t be.

Yes I agree. He is a sex offender and a paedophile, and he's walked free. Its appalling.

Please don’t let it be Bridget. I can’t stand her evil smirk.

I hope the cameras zoom in on her face if she loses.

This.

The other one I saw on X was the official no10 account tweeting that parents shouldn't be out of pocket by giving their own kids breakfast. I mean ffs.

As for releasing prisoners by mistake and @emeraldroulette the failures over the southport killer...words fail me. They really do.

Crumbs, did you see the responses to it? There was a lot of feeling that feeding children is a pretty major part of being a parent.

Totes.

My angle is more that Powell should prove more problematic for Starmer, and divisive for the party.

Which is why the leadership will have been putting pressure on to support Bigot

Deffo.

If LP prevails, I might just pop on to our besties thread, to observe how they will attempt to polish that particular turd (sorry, a bit early I know).

I've just watched the video of Kebatu casually strolling around in what looks like the town centre in his prison garb. You must be livid if this is local to you.

I think he got on a train to London, might have to check that. Either way it’s really bad.

Yes I saw that too.
They said the train made two stops en route, and they either don't know, or aren't saying where he got off.

Looks like Reeves is planning to increase the minimum wage again from 12.21 to 12.70. So, we are going to burden businesses further, nudge inflation higher and reduce the number of PAYE jobs so the government can play lady bountiful.

We are just going to ignore the fact that last year's hike is placing the burden of unemployment on our young adults.

Reeves: The answer is higher tax.

But don’t you want to know the question first, Rachel?

Who the hell would employ her once she is eventually kicked out of office.

I don't know how to respond to that without swearing a lot.
We can't afford it, we really can't. 😪 How many more insolvancies does she need to see before she changes tack?

It's just madness. It's a 4% rise to match inflation, inflation that is double the target 2%, in no small part because she increased the minimum wage when there was no growth.

And now we have more people who are unemployed - whose benefits will increase by 4.1% to match inflation - inflation achieved in no small part because she increased minimum wage when there was no growth.

🤯 Madness

Rivalled · 25/10/2025 09:23

I hope it is BP as she’s a charisma bypass…Powell probablt more relatable.

262 wrongfully released in a year - outrageous.

Rivalled · 25/10/2025 09:25

Are we trying to become Spain and Italy, a race to get to the higher end of the youth unemployment table?

Ive been lurking on this thread, this business tonight with the illegal immigrant who should have been deported immediately and not put in prison at the taxpayers expense, do we really think this was a mistake? Ive never been a tin foil hat person but at the moment it feels like this government wants it all to kick off.

I think you're crediting this bunch of jokers with far too much intelligence. It was probably ineptitude and laziness that saw this monster back out on the streets.

Bridget, Reeves and Powell give me, 'Love that Joker' vibes from the original Batman movie.

Boris in the DM this morning on Caerphilly and much more. It's quite long, but it does just about sum up the whole sorry Labour story so far.

I particularly liked his take on football fans.

It was the best of a bad bunch really wasn't it? I doubt anyone really wanted the job!

AbsentosaurusRex · 25/10/2025 10:13

Well audibly and visually more palatable than BP. Same old Fabian nonsense though.

I wonder if the Labour Party will ever see fit to vote for a female party leader. Maybe even PM, when Keir gets chucked out. They’re very good at padding the rest of the party with women.. just.. never.. the top spot.
