A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

She was there too, although she didn't speak.

I know she has been very vocal about Palestinians, but her response to this tragedy has been appropriate. She's recognised and condemned it unequivocally.

Morning @TheNuthatch

It's a flag 😂 @Parsley4321

A Labour spokesperson had said how terribly upset the were following the collapse of the trial against Chinese spies...So, why, after giving the CPS assurances that this incompetent shower of a hypocritical government would provide an expert witness to state that China was an enemy of the state, did they sink the whole case by then failing to do so?

Labour secretly sabotaged China spy trial

Ministers’ decision not to describe Xi’s regime in court as an ‘enemy’ led the case to collapse

How dodgy is that! That doesn't smell right at all.

It may have been a CPS decision, but the govt must have known the consequences of withdrawing or failing to provide the witness. Claiming ignorance doesn't wash.

I think it's fair to say that The Graun have given up with Labour. Bit of buyer's remorse there.
They still like bashing the tories though 😂.

True. They’re having a tantrum now aren’t they. Woe betide lefties angering their fellow lefties! Still I didn’t think they’d stoop as low as agitating the flames of the rent boy rumours. Typical behaviour of the left wing I suppose. No loyalty if they think they’ve been wronged.

TheNuthatch · 04/10/2025 08:18

I didn't see the connotations until you pointed it out 😬. Bloody hell.
I just thought flag-shagging whilst obsessing over Nigel.

Same. Although flag is rather er strident in its depiction

That’s good re Kemi, surely the endless failures to win court cases around immigration are making people understand this point. Although she needs to restate the economic case the most - what do the tories have over Labour or reform? Support for business.

plenty of businesses and people absolutely dreading the budget as an immediate worry.

Good morning Smile

Badenoch has announced that the UK will leave the ECHR if the tories win the next election.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1mxy2j2elro

Too late -she should have got off the fence last year. No way will the Conservatives win!!!

I'm shocked I tell you

It's almost as if being the only country to tax education drives those who cam afford it to educate their children somewhere else!

Meanwhile those if us who don't have that option are stuck paying a tax 🙄

I don't really have a strong opinion either way on leaving the ECHR. If it is deemed to be necessary, I'm fine with that. I think Kemi might attract some negativity with this announcement as its taken her a year to get there.
Agree on the tories need to focus on the economy.

Ikr. Labour must be scratching their heads in confusion. I will never understand how anyone can support this nonsense. I say that as a parent with state educated dcs, so no skin in the game.
