The people on protests/Tommy marches - they are so, so angry. I wouldn’t wish to be them.
It is anger on an unjustifiable scale imo - I can grasp they are worried about asylum seekers if they believe all the msm rubbish but to be so intensely angry about individual people, exercising their right to say ‘well I’m not’ has surprised me. Practically frothing, shouting horrible abuse, and getting violent - yes, I’m angry at them following that cause, but don’t feel individual hatred to each of them to the point I could attack them.
The London anti racist marchers set up a mini disco whilst kettled - can’t imagine the flag ones doing so. They are beyond bitter and must have very difficult lives at such levels of anger and upset - I actually don’t get that level at all - it would have to be an intensely personal and excessive trauma that inspired me to be that angry I think.

I agree.

I can understand people being pissed off at Labour, I used to feel the same about the Tories (and am pissed off at Labour too about some things!). But some of the anger seems so, so relentless and very deep seated, even over trivial things like decals in a church. Some of the stuff posted about the decals on X is mind boggling.

Just realised the mid-cycle one has underwear in, here’s the pic once he’d risen from the sudsy depths, and the Portuguese beach pic:

Thank you, they are so funny!

Outrage 😅

You wouldn't believe the number of morons on Twitter pretending that a temporary exhibition of vinyl stickers at Canterbury Cathedral is permanent graffiti, just so they can feel outraged. Then JD Vance joins in, because clearly this is an international crisis.

It does amuse me that all these people moaning about the 'graffiti' are actually increasing its publicity and making more people aware of it. Objective achieved, I'd say.

Don’t let the church frothers know, but I hid a load of tiny Jesuses in my church just for the fun of seeing them whenever I’m there.

Love this 😊

It's very much only Christians can be white attitude - and I have a bridge to sell to them.

That’s very true.

we have a large number of black people in our street who dress up smart (men in suits and ties and ladies in tea dresses) for church every Sunday and come back every few weeks in a large group and all gather at someone’s house. I assume the other weeks they gather at someone’s else’s?

Wonder if their Britishness is acceptable. Except we know it’s not because of the colour of their skin. (To some I couldn’t care less theyre here or even if they were born here they are decent noble neighbours!)

Braverman isn’t Christian so I hope she doesn’t jump on this bandwagon!

itsgettingweird · 12/10/2025 16:38

Loving Jesus post wash 😂

DuncinToffee · 12/10/2025 16:42

That is brilliant InMySpareTime.

Did you make them yourself?

I also love the little Jesuses!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/10/2025 17:02

Is it just me wondering where you buy lots of little Jesuses?

Me too. I want My Own Personal Jesus 🎶

InMySpareTime · 12/10/2025 17:46

I bought them from Amazon, I think I searched “tiny plastic Jesus” and there were loads.

PandoraSocks · 12/10/2025 18:07

An alternative to the small plastic Jesus 😳

Ever passed through Neasden on a Sunday evening ?

Ever witnessed a Philippino Methodist minister have a celebration dinner for Christmas in a sleepy Cheshire Town?

I used to live close to Kilburn. So know Neasden.

itsgettingweird · 13/10/2025 08:06

I love this thread for things like a Lego nipple Jesus’ 🤣🤣

'Angry middle-aged white men' abuse woman at Gary Neville's hotel

The grimmest people in the country are on the march because Gary Neville pointed out how grim they are - yet they say they're 'protecting are women'??? @ willem-moore.bsky.social gives up.

Ah, the good old right wing rage we were talking about yesterday. Plenty of it around, it seems.

DuncinToffee · 13/10/2025 09:29

There is more, the New York Times

https://archive.ph/vJWET

They Helped Topple Roe v. Wade. Now Their Sights Are Set on Britain.
An organization that fought abortion rights in the United States is now an unlikely conduit between MAGA Republicans and Britain’s ascendant Reform U.K. party.

Yeah, about that ...

Notonthestairs · 13/10/2025 10:05

Bloody hell.
And certain right wing supporting posters on MN swear blind Reform and friends aren't coming for abortion legislation in the UK.

We have discussed the ADF on these threads before. They bankrolled the anti buffer zone activitist Livia Tossici-Bolt in Bournemouth and no doubt have encouraged and supported other groups.

Quite why they think they should have the right to intimidate women in such a way I dont know. Prayer can be carried out at home without needing to get in the face of women.

Essentially Reform are collaborating with foreign groups to change Parliamentary legislation.

I also note - "And in private briefings, they have supplied the Trump administration with attack lines that cast the British government as hostile to free speech."

So essentially working with a foreign government to attack our own democracy.

Seems pretty traitorous to me.
