The company has filed for administration.

Convenient.

I am quite enjoying the Reform snowflake meltdown. And as you'd expect, there's a lot of slush ...

BIossomtoes · 01/10/2025 14:12

I am too. There are some magnificent posters around today as well. It gives me hope.

So I see. Blimey.

I wish Lammy hadn't said that about Hitler Youth, though. He really does himself no favours at times.

He’s right though - he didn’t say he was a member or anything, just that he flirted with the ideas. And he did. He sang Hitler Youth songs while marching about when he was at school. It’s a(nother) wilful misinterpretation of something a Labour politician says, same as those claiming Starmer said Reform voters were racist.

Rather undermines the "man of the people" schtick ?

Maybe Reform should hire their own security, They could be called Security Assistants or SA for short. I'm sure that wouldn't confuse "AI" one little bit.

Nigel Farage pictured wearing a dark suit, striped tie and white shirt. He is standing in front of a union jack.

Nigel Farage's security has been cut, Reform UK claims

Reform's policy chief says parliamentary authorities downgraded Farage's security two weeks ago.

reminds me of a rather caustic review of "The Equaliser" which noted "Edward Woodward rolls paunch first into another unlikely situation ...."

Yes, it was the 80s. 😀A golden age for witty reviews

Had to really. Two others have had to be suspended. One in, Two out.

Allen was suspended for a whole 10 days.

Of course they have. Obviously nothing at all to do with yesterday’s speech.

Does this mean he can go to Clacton now?

I imagine someone is trying to work out how best to use this change to their advantage. It won’t matter that the change is a direct result of assessments made by the Parliamentary Security Department and Police.

@Evenstar I liked your post earlier referencing the old sketch . I agree that the press has not been helping UK plc much lately.
We need stability.

Many people are now aware of the blatant bias shown on tv when parts of statements from Labour MP's and Ministers are taken out of context to fit a certain narrative and to misrepresent.

You speech was great Sir Keir, you are doing great.

Let us have some honest reporting about all the improvements Labour have made and correct, fact checked information on the progress they are making towards their stated ambitions.

bombastix · 01/10/2025 16:44

I think some elements of the press may be thinking what they have contributed to and how they describe it. There is a “good story” and then there is being uncritical about Reform.

If people think more about them and their policies critically I am all for it. I like Starmer’s speech. It was made to be cut and pasted in a social media age. A decency list. People can understand and get behind that.

DuncinToffee · 01/10/2025 16:51

Ask the MN Reform posters about policies, costs and funding and you get silence.

Not quite true. You get a rather odd response that "If you call us nasty names then we will continue to do our best to prove you right. And that means the jokes on you".

There weren't that many people left laughing in 1945 Germany.

DuncinToffee · 01/10/2025 16:56

Yes, I was rather generous
