It’s my mum’s birthday today. She would have been 88, but she died 21 years ago and I still really miss her.

@JaninaDuszejko I worked at the Body Shop for three years (uni job), gagging at the thought of those smells! Although I was fond of Dewberry back in the day.
And do you remember the island with the scents in the bottle? We used to have the local drunks (can't think of a better way of putting it) come in and swig them because they thought they were alcohol based perfume. They weren't.

We all slept through it somehow! Woke in the morning to utter chaos, looking like a scene from a disaster movie! But I got some time off school because all the trees blew down and blocked the road that we had to take, and some of the old prefab buildings at school had their roofs blown off. Result!

Sorry but I'm frightfully grown up now. My HUSBAND <giggle, blush> and I have only been married for a few months, and we're the first ones in our friendship group to have our own house. A mortgage and everything, age 19 🏆.

So if you youngsters want to come back to our house later, we can sit in our living room and have a cup of tea from our new BHS dinner service that my big brother gave us for a wedding present. You can also admire our lovely wallpaper - it's white with red and black jagged lines across it.

That was the day before my driving test. I had to manoeuvre around many a hazard. Driving examiner highly impressed at my hazard perception! I passed my driving test on 16th October.

I'm running late, I'll catch up with you all in about 7 years when I'm born!

I am 16 and living in rural Ireland so apart from picking up a single from Woolworths, probably Alison Moyet because someone once said I looked like her (yes, fat!) and my subscription to Just Seventeen I can only look on in deep jealousy at the lives you are all living with your Top shop and Miss Selfridge fashions and your make up from
Boots. I will just have to satisfy myself by buying Constance Carroll blue (and green) mascaras from the pound shop and try to persuade my Mum to make me a puffball skirt!

I'm 16 and in the first year of 6th form college so of course I'm going clubbing drinking vodka and orange or snakebite and black, avoiding my massive crush that never went anywhere. Being picked up by my Dad at 2am because we live too far away (and that way he knows I'm home safely) and he's worried about the club being raided for underage drinking. Happy Days.
