I can’t, my boyfriend has just started the second year of his YTS and has enough money left over after he’s paid his mom his rent, to go to Blockbusters and also get some chocolate from the outdoor.

Justmuddlingalong · 26/09/2025 21:09

I need to pop in to Boots for some cucumber cleanser, toner and moisturiser, a heather shimmer lipstick and some wet and wild electric blue mascara. While I'm there, I'll check the price of a pair of scholl clogs for work.
I also want to flick through the giant posters in Athena and nip in to Wimpy for a knickerbocker glory.

bluewhitebluewhite · 26/09/2025 21:09

I’ve just graduated so I’m living at home and applying for post grad so I don’t have much money. I’ll probably be down the village pub later for a 55p pint of lager and buy some silk cut purple from the machine with a pound and my change sellotaped to the box.

I'll be off to a Northern soul all niter somewhere in the UK.

Very cool. I was going to local dodgy who let anybody underage in.

BIWI · 26/09/2025 21:10

I can’t come out, as I’ve just bought my first flat (on my own). I have a new Sony Walkman and Sony midi-system, so I’m enjoying buying some new cassettes to play.

New boyfriend has really impressed me though, by turning up with a case of Champagne! He went to Majestic to buy a bottle, but didn’t realise you have to buy a case.

Think he might be a keeper!*

*married for 35 years now Smile

RampantIvy · 26/09/2025 21:11

Sorry. I'm having a laparoscopy to find out why I can't get pregnant.

KelsCommemorativeSausage · 26/09/2025 21:11

I'll come! Can we go to Body Shop and get them to put the fragrance into things for us, from the huge jars of perfume behind the counter?

BiddyPopthe2nd · 26/09/2025 21:12

Oh dear @Berlinlover that is tough

SteviesNicks · 26/09/2025 21:12

I'm so sorry @Berlinlover 💓

I’ve just finished my A levels - and had a holiday romance in Florence. I wrote to him for the rest of the year, but starting university life meant that the memory of him dulled. Snakebite and black was the drink of freshers’ week.

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 26/09/2025 21:14

Can I bring the kids? Dd3 and DS is a baby. I've a lovely Mothercare buggy I'm proud of.

I'm only 6 so I don't think my mum's going to let me. Grin I'll just stay at home and play with My Little Ponies.

I'm 7, so I'll play My Little Pony's with you. I've got the MLP duvet cover which provides a great backdrop for the grooming parlour!

hexsnidgett · 26/09/2025 21:14

Can we go to Snob for a tshirt?

KillMeMounjaro · 26/09/2025 21:15

Sounds good! I did have a Saturday job (in a supermarket called Presto!) but I was 18, so more into going out boozing afterwards.

Looking forward to heading to uni in a week's time though!

VivaForever81 · 26/09/2025 20:59

Can’t, I’m only 6 and I’m practicing the dance moves to The locomotion. It’s really windy outside but it’s fine, Micheal Fish says there’s nothing to worry about, just a light breeze 😉

Yeah, I’m 15 and live down south and will be looking for any excuse not to help with all the debris clear up from the hurricane after it blew a load of roofs off sheds and garages and knocked down trees in the garden! I’ll probably want to go to the pub after we’ve been in town, already have a regular one that doesn’t seem to care about ID, and it plays great music. I hope you like staying out late!

Gazelda · 26/09/2025 21:15

I can’t. I’m getting married. My fabulous dress has a fergie bow at the back, I’ve got a fresh perm and my white stilettos from freeman hardy and Willis are nearly broken in.

SteviesNicks · 26/09/2025 21:16

Bumdrops · 26/09/2025 21:19

Ooh, I’ll come ! I’m 16 nearly 17, first year A levels - quite poor but I’ve got a weekend job so I can go to town, have a look in C+A, snob, the shiny things in Ratners !
50p for a burger from MacDonalds - yum !
I like wham, bros and salt and pepper !!!

YumYa · 26/09/2025 21:19

I'll come I'm 19 so can get served if you fancy a drink? I was getting served at 15 to be fair.
Wimpy sounds good though. Might pop in Chelsea girl too?

Puffalicious · 26/09/2025 21:19

Barneybagpuss · 26/09/2025 21:06

I’ll come, I’m 14 so I’ll wear my electric blue mascara and twilight teaser lipstick. Can we go to Athena and look at posters ?

My lord, are you me?! I have matching electric blue heels- but that's because I'm 15, so I'm allowed heels Have you also got a puff-ball skirt & are in love with Morten Harkett?

The year my mum died, I was ten and my life was never the same again.

so sorry to read that. i hope you have managed to find some happiness and peace in the subsequent years

Lozza70 · 26/09/2025 21:20

Oh I’m off out to a disco tonight after the pub. The joy of £10 stretching to both. As I’m 16 I have memorised my dob at xx/12/67. I’ll be wearing a long cotton skirt and pinching my dad’s dinner jacket and cinching the waist with little elastics with braces clips. Dab of patchouli oil and hitting the Black Russians later!

Dad will pick me and my friends up from the disco and insist on turning the heating up in the car knowing quite rightly we have had a drink or two…..

I've just started my 'A' levels (16 yrs old) and having the best time at college drinking Pints of Guinness in my 'free periods' I mean my timetable on Fridays was English Lit for 9-11am then no lesson until 4-5pm (Geography) I mean what was I supposed to do between 11-4? Study I suppose Blush Unsurprisingly I got an E for Geography- great memories though there were 8 of us - 2 girls and 6 boys with the same schedule.

This sounds bloody brilliant!
