I’ll come if I can get my dad to drive me there in his Ford Sierra. I don’t have any money but it’s fine because I’ll go and sweep the trays in the arcades for abandoned pound coins. Should get enough for a macsonalds milkshake and some pic n mix. Then we can go and try all the clothes on in top shop.

I'm 15 and I'm definitely in. My Saturday job finishes at 1pm so that's perfect. If I spend my bus money on pic -n -mix in Woolies will you walk home with me down the spooky path later? I've also got my electric blue mascara and pencil skirt, and my twilight teaser, but I haven't got a Hair Bear Bunch perm because i'm not allowed one!

Oh yes, absolutely no shopping trip would be complete without a look round Athena. I already have the big b&w poster of that topless bloke with the baby on my bedroom wall amongst all the posters of Marilyn Monroe, The Mission, All About Eve and The Rocky Horror Show. Though mum thinks I should take some of my “edgier” (pffft) posters down cos I’m sharing with my little sister who is only about 7. She has god awful posters of Neighbours on the wall on her side. Luckily she’ll be able to move into her own room soon so I can just make even more mess, because I’m never home long enough to tidy it and wouldn’t even if I was! Your mum will likely think I’m a bad influence on you, though!

I'll come! I'm 13 and have a camera film that I want to leave into Boots to get developed, then we can head to Wimpy and look at the pics while eating our burgers. Fingers crossed there's no bombscares today!

I’m queuing for the nightclub for a night of dancing to disco tunes drinking my Snakebite or Gin and Orange. If I meet someone I might let him take me home and wait a couple of days until he calls me whilst i sit on my mum’s stairs to wait for the call / those were the days !

I hated night's in nightclubs because it was so different to a Northern niter IE no drunken fools admittedly most of us were on amphitheatre aka speed.

Wasn’t it still called Ritz in 1987? I think it changed to Blockbuster in the 90s.
