This will out me to pretty much everybody I told IRL but this week I had a work gin tasting session. (It was meant to be a bonding thing. ). There was a smoky bacon flavoured gin.

Bad idea. Very very bad.

I bloody love gin, ALL gin. But I can't drink on mounjaro, makes me sick :-(

@EasternStandard I was rushing to get a slot booked so I just picked a random expensive one and chucked 3 bottles in my basket to checkout. I think it was called Adnams? I can't even access my order to look.

Sherry on the other hand. I'm not Christian but I was very enthusiastic about attending church with my ILs for about 12 years thanks to the sherry we had at theirs afterwards. (They thought I was marvellous to participate in religious traditions not my own. )

Mine is late too, 8pm-9pm but I can only edit until 11.50pm tonight. This will teach me for leaving it until the last minute 🙄.

Thank goodness for that! I've just had a WhatsApp from Ocado. They said they're having technical issues which is why I can't edit.
They have cancelled it for me at least.

I saw this but I’ll be surprised if Starmer takes much notice. He tends to dismiss those who don’t agree with him.

What will make him change his mind is his own party MPs being very angry with him. He got really spooked when KB kept asking about Mandelson during PMQ and the MPs behind him stayed silent.

Just saw a self promotion on the BBC…they are billing themselves as “Our BBC” now!

As for digital ID cards, what problem are they solving? One already has to provide a passport when starting at a new company. Perhaps they would be more useful for accessing benefits and services instead of employment.

The only thing that would stress me out is spending £95 on only 3 bottles of gin. Don’t any of you ladies have a Lidl or Aldi nearby
3 bottles of the highly recommended gin would be less than £50

For those who don’t like it make a blackberry brandy and by Christmas it’ll be ready to knock your socks off. Or blow your brains out if we haven’t already after the budget.

urgh gin - a gin tasting box I had during Covid times put me off for life! There are too many flavoured gins that give you a punishing hangover. Add in homeschooling…
