There are certain groups of people who are Very Happy Labour are in power. And Starmer is pleasing these people very much. Fck everyone else. We just pay for it all.

People will resent income tax going up. Plus it’s breaks the election pledge.

Who could be enjoying this? Everyone on welfare is in the precarious position of potentially having the rug pulled out from them at any point. Low earners cannot outrun the cost of living as everything costs more and their job security is well, insecure and higher earners are in limbo because they don't know which way the government will take another bit out of them?

You want to keep more of the money you earn? That’s very selfish!

Bet they take ithe 2% off lower rate NI and onto higher and additional income tax..

Because it's 'not faaaaassiiiiiirrrr' that NI goes down from 8% to 2% at the same point as uncome tax goes from 20% to 40%....

Even though we get the same pension (until they start means testing it)

And zero support if lose our jobs - despite having paid so much into the so-called 'safety net' - because of a savings threshold which is less than we have been paying in tax each year.

We get to the honour of paying for everything and getting nothing. Whilst being insulted and told we're scum.

Its not levelling up with tax because if it was we’d all be paying the same rate irrespective of earnings

Its actually levelling it in terms of take home pay
