A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Haha I love the ending on that. Packs about the right amount of ire.

Yes that is angry! Scorched earth on top with liquid lava erupting underneath. That is exactly how he’s leaving a significant proportion of us. Christ. No one could’ve predicted just how bad these people are. I echo whoever said that it’s not just Starmer. It’s Starmer, Reeves, Phillipson, Lammy. Urghhhh… (or alternatively, signing off with broiling molten contempt..)

@TheNuthatch it's brilliant isnt it? The word 'flaccid' is just spot on! 🤣

Personally I prefer not to think of Starmer and flaccid in the same image. Shudder.

Not so sure he’s flaccid all the time.

Hamas has executed three Palestinians accused of “collaborating” with Israel on the streets of Gaza.
Footage posted on Hamas-affiliated Telegram accounts showed armed and masked members of the group lining up three blindfolded Palestinians in a public square in Gaza.
Chants of “Allahu Akbar” were heard among the crowd as they gathered to watch and film the public execution.

And Starmer has just recognised this country with the Hamas gvt, as a state. What a fcking moron. Who knew.

Hamas-linked social media channels say "three collaborators who were spying for the occupation" were executed.

This is horrendous. Starmer has emboldened terrorists and this is where it gets us.

Who leaves chocolate that long ??

People who hide advent calendars for their kids in the loft and then forget where they put them, only for them to be found in June the next year - it's a raft of feelings to find chocolate only to recoil in horror that they have gone white with age, like dog shit in the 90s.

I wonder how many of us buy the advent calendars, eat the chocolate ( because the secret parents stash has already gone ) and then rush out to buy more advent calendars 🤫 😉

If Reeves taxes chocolate thats the final nail . I’m moving to the Antarctic. I can work from home and the BAT tax is only 7%
( although I’ll need bigger bags for the chocolate and gin to keep me going ) 🥶

Quite!

It’s like the recipe I once found for Easter Hot Cross Bun Bread & Butter Pudding which included the ingredient “left over Easter egg chocolate”.

What the hell is that when it’s at home?!

Rivalled · 23/09/2025 14:58

Yes the only time chocolate has ever spoiled here is when it’s melted!

They don’t need further confirmation
Its all in the building regs and always has been

They can try and overrule what a woman is but atm we can carry on regardless with the regs as they stand

We know they don't need further confirmation, we know the building regs, school regs, workplace regs etc. are all very clear, but nobody is willing to enforce them (e.g. in cases of workplace non-compliance with changing rooms and toilets, the HSE have declined to enforce the regs).

Meanwhile, nurses like Sandie Peggie, the Darlington nurses, and schoolgirls are being told they must tolerate men and boys in their supposedly single sex spaces when they are undressed or otherwise vulnerable.

This father is trying to safeguard his daughter and is being given the run around by the school, the governors, the insurer, local councillors, and his MP.

What is the point of laws and regulations if nobody is willing to enforce them? This Labour government have shown no interest, and the fact they did not lay the EHRC guidance before parliament immediately is utterly contemptible. They keep saying they agree with the Supreme Court but it is time for deeds, not words.

I would just like someone, anyone, to do their fucking job!

The problem is that building regs are for new buildings or those undergoing major refurb.

Hence one of the reasons everyone’s waiting to see if they have to upgrade or if they can ignore
Most want to ignore to save money and because they’ve all bought into the Stonewall crap.

That Brighton school like so many are a disgrace

🤣🤣🤣🤣 ssshhhh don't give her ideas!
M+S is too privileged so there should be a 100% tax

What about Booths? That must qualify for 150% tax! 😬🤣

The Resolution Foundation are recommending Reeves cuts 2% off NI and adds it to income tax

Will she ? won’t she ?

JustStopItNorasaurus · 23/09/2025 16:06

😂 It's a risky strategy. What if you leave it too long and you end up with chocolate that has gone white and flavourless with neglect? <Shudder>

Oh i thought the tax on chocolate was a joke only on this thread.

When will I learn!!

It's highly likely. She's really desperate.Resolution Foundation is also recommending pensioners pay NICs. They really do hate us OAP's

Yeah, apparently Reeves is looking at levies on crisps and chocolate - and things like that.

Nah. That means they’d be taxing those who do not have the ‘broadest shoulders’ 👀. Perish the thought everyone pays their bit to support their crap decisions.

Rivalled · 23/09/2025 16:37

It’s right up their street isn’t it, they’re saving the working class, one sin at a time…

It just keeps on coming doesn't it? My son said before the last election. "Vote Labour and lets all be broke and miserable together!" It was said in jest, but it's looking like he's not wrong.
