As per the title.

I have to admit that I do. Saves a flush.

Err, don't take life so seriously

I think it’s you, with your “decent standards” that are taking life too seriously!

dynamiccactus · 05/09/2025 18:48

My DH had a cat who did that in the bath.

dynamiccactus · 05/09/2025 18:52

I do in my own shower - not one in a leisure centre (or hotel).

I assume those of you under 45-50 bleed every month, so presumably some blood goes down the plughole from time to time, especially if you don't use tampons? Why is that ok but not wee?

I am fairly sure that it is utter rubbish that it's bad for your pelvic floor. After all in a lot of countries they only have stand-up loos.

Ihavetoask · 05/09/2025 18:54

No because I read in More! Magazine about a woman at her boyfriend's who thought she had to pee, only for it to be followed by uncontrollable diarrhoea in the shower. I stopped peeing in the shower that day.

I cant control the flow of my menstrual blood.

SummerFrog25 · 05/09/2025 19:23

If I get caught short. I wouldn't set out to do it to save water or because it's easier etc, I have had a serious medical event this year & it affected my bladder & bowel, if I have to wash underwear etc from accidents I use the bath. What does everyone else do? Whether that's from yourself, people with disabilities or toilet training children

'Solids' flushed down the toilet. But where do you wash the clothing?

Maybe, but let's get back to origins of your attack on me. I replied to a reply laughing at a perfectly reasonable view about weeing in the shower. Maybe weeing as you wash doesn't constitute having low standards to you. But laughing at that view is in very poor taste. Having a good sense of humour is something else entirely

Now that's another thread right there 😆

I actually read about this somewhere. I chatted with my parents about it months ago. Turns out Dad is a leg washer but Mum isn't.

I thought about what I do. I'm a half and half. My thighs always get washed and I wash my feet, but my lower legs can sometimes get forgotten.

Strange! I had the same conversation with my parents, mum’s a leg washer but dad isn’t!

I’m a leg washer (scrubber, actually) but I think that’s a dry, eczema-prone skin kinda thing. My legs get so itchy when water hits them, so it gives me a valid excuse to scratch my legs with an African net, under the guise of “exfoliating” 😂

It was the comment you made that was funny “No, I’m not an animal”! Anyway, you may want an argument, but I can’t be bothered, so I’m done.

No. I go to the loo before I get in the shower. I don’t want to be standing in a shower tray that others have pissed in.

Doesn't your shower tray get cleaned? 😲

Moon30 · 05/09/2025 21:33

Just as a FYI, If you have a cleaner, we know that you pee in the shower. The smell is not completely washed away 🤢

RichardMarxisinnocent · 05/09/2025 21:56

Doesn't it feel grim running down your legs? Like a PP said, as if you're deliberately wetting yourself?

I didn't say that

Of course it's washed away.

It gets caught in the trap and then the smell just lingers, it's very obvious if someone has pee'd in the shower that I'm cleaning

Why would it get caught in the trap? Surely the shampoo, shower gel and water would just wash it down the drain.

Anyway I clean my own shower so I'll piss where I want.

TeenLifeMum · 05/09/2025 22:22

After having dd the midwives all advised peeing in the shower… I just couldn’t, my body wouldn’t release it 😂 I had to use a cup of water while on the toilet (I had a lot of stitches)

FoxRedPuppy · 05/09/2025 22:25

ProfoundlyPeculiarAndWeird · 04/09/2025 19:57

Those of you who do this, please, please, PLEASE tell me that you don't do it in public showers such as at the gym.😨😱

I do it in all showers that I use. Pretty much every time!

So? I’m not bothered who knows that I owe in the shower. It’s not a hideous secret.

I try not to pee in the shower, but due to certain genitourinary "issues" I sometimes don't seem to have an option. I'm a dedicated leg and foot washer, though, so I tell myself it's okay.

Burntt · 05/09/2025 22:46

I have to self catheterise and was advised to do it in the shower when I’m in there 🤷‍♀️

I don't believe you.

Why is this sniffing skill unique to cleaners? Householders who clean their bathroom themselves would smell it, if it were true.

No, I pee before I shower.

I thought everyone did a wee before they got in the shower.
