As per the title.

I have to admit that I do. Saves a flush.

Yes sometimes. Of course there is no issue with it. Just on MN.

This ☝️ I don’t get those who think “it’s disgusting”. It washes away into the same drains 🤷‍♀️

rainbowsparkle28 · 04/09/2025 22:43

No that’s grim and I am not an animal 🤨

Bathingforest · 04/09/2025 22:44

Not to be funny but some of us are elderly....and some of us might be incontinent from both holes....ask them do they poop in the shower also, because might happen to dear old people, involuntarily. There is no moral superiority here

Radionowhere · 04/09/2025 21:55

No. I have standards.

😂🤣😂🤣

That is very different

Luceeeee · 04/09/2025 22:49

No it's grim. Plus I read that it is really bad for your pelvic floor.

Choclabratwatowner88 · 04/09/2025 22:51

Nope… I always shower straight after getting up so naturally I’m always bursting and just use the loo beforehand.

I’m not sure this is the win you think it is, but crack on

Too late to describe the scientific method for you, but this isn’t about winning and losing. It’s about having evidence for claims, and not spreading potentially inaccurate information. So it’s more about ethics. Otherwise you may as well just shout anything from the rooftops, and call yourself Mrs Trump-Farage.
There’s enough of that it the world already. So let’s start respecting the evidence base again. If I’m wrong, that’s fair and happy to learn from the evidence.

OMG are you saying I’m supposed to have taught my pets to wee in the shower too??! 😂

DramaLlamacchiato · 04/09/2025 23:00

I did after giving birth for the first few days after I almost passed out with the pain after my first post birth wee. I had a LOT of stitches.

Sometimes I will involuntarily now as the water sets me off and my pelvic floor is shit

LilyCanna · 04/09/2025 23:03

God no, if I need to go, I use the toilet before I get in. I think I’d struggle to physically do it actually, psychologically it would feel all wrong, like deliberately wetting myself (as in pissing your pants, not as in having a shower).

whatisthegoddamnholdup · 04/09/2025 23:04

No

Denim4ever · 04/09/2025 23:20

Always thought it was an urban myth. I daresay this is because I'm married to a man who does all the cleaning and would never be the one who left the loo seat up. Additionally, it's never occurred to be that a woman might consider weeing in the shower.

Yes, why not! You are washing yourself anyway

I’m shocked so many don’t!!

Agree!

You are embarrassing yourself now.

Flossflower · 04/09/2025 23:40

No, I don’t pee in the shower. There is a loo right next to the shower.
The only time I have done it was when practicing to use my shewee. The instructions said to practice in the shower.

I really hope that's not an academic or at least has more credentials than all that academics writing about urine not being sterile in last 10 years or so🙈

Nope, I’m fine thanks.
Me and my profession are secure in our ethical practice working from an evidence base. But do feel free to expand on your beliefs next time you’re in clinic asking for treatment 👍

dizzydizzydizzy · 04/09/2025 23:56

No. I work in a leisure centre . There was a woman in the shower with her 4 children, ages about 5 to about 12. As I walked past, she instructed her children to wee in the shower. I I pointed out that they were next to tbe toilets and other customers might not like them weeing in the shower. I'll just say that she didn't take it well and I had to radio the manager for assistance.

Coldtoesinthebed · 05/09/2025 00:02

Not often but if I need to I do 😂 I clean the shower anyway so if I need a billy whizz it is what it is “good god, I’m disgusting” 😂😂😂

Urea crystals can block drains so generally no.

Urea is highly soluble in water - how on earth do you think this could happen?
