Do you pee in the shower?

As per the title.

I have to admit that I do. Saves a flush.

No, but one time I was having a shower not long after eating Quorn (before I realised I was intolerant to it) and I vomited out of nowhere. Three times. I had to fish the lumps out of the plughole. Wee would have been much more preferable.

IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 04/09/2025 21:17

Yeah, toilet is in a different room to the shower and I CBA, water washed it away 😂

This was essentiallyy our last bathroom though so I didn't really have that excuse...could sit on the loo whilst showering though which was nice....

Wee is sterile…

People still think this?

What bugs do you have in your wee then?

hobbledyhoy · 04/09/2025 21:42

I’m surprised how much I’ve learnt from this thread. Waffles and butter - who knew?!

No really, it isn’t sterile.

Cause I'm already wet in the shower, if I get out the shower to wee on the toilet I then need to dry the toilet seat. That's a faff and unnecessary, it just goes down the drain ont he shower

But this is even more bizarre to me.. because surely you’d either go before showering (if you felt you really needed to) or otherwise you’d wait until you get out (after you’ve dried, of course).

I can’t believe anyone is so uptight as to not allow themselves a quick pee in the shower - it gets washed away - along with sweat, microscopic bits of shit, toenail grime and god knows what else! 😆😆😆

PrincessOfPreschool · 04/09/2025 21:54

Ewwwwww. Never. I pee in the sea all the time though.

Radionowhere · 04/09/2025 21:55

No. I have standards.

ExperiencedTeacher · 04/09/2025 22:00

Yep. See no issue with it at all

You are going to have to give details to back up your statement.

MSU samples which should be clear sometimes collect bacterial contamination from the surrounding tissues. If you believe you have bacterial growth within your urinary tract or kidneys please seeks treatment.

BlackboardMonitorVimes · 04/09/2025 22:07

Urine is good for athletes foot, so weeing on your feet in the shower is the best way to administer that treatment.

Don’t forget the fungus 😄

IlIl · 04/09/2025 22:11

Yes pretty much every morning.

sundayfundayclub · 04/09/2025 22:16

i'm shocked so many do this!

Whodathoughtit2 · 04/09/2025 22:18

Why is it gross? Nobody is drinking shower tray water or bathing in it for the few seconds before it goes down the drain. Urine may not be completely sterile but am sure my daily commute brings me into contact with worse things than an occasional pee under running water. I can't get worked up by the thought of my family peeing in the shower occasionally. Can absolutely get worked up about them leaving the resulting wet towels on the floor/bed

icebearforpresident · 04/09/2025 22:18

Not only do I pee in the shower (not every time but it happens) I also empty my diva cup in there as well when I’m on my period 🤷‍♀️

CatchTheWind1920 · 04/09/2025 22:24

I'm quite laid back when it comes to bodily functions and toilet stuff but I find this repulsive...

I don’t have to give anything.

This is entirely reasonable but it has reminded me of the poster ages ago on another thread who said she cleaned her moon cup by holding it inside the toilet bowl and then flushing 😬

No evidence to back your claim wee isn’t sterile? Or no wee 😉 (apologies for winky face if you happen to have haemodialysis)

If you have no evidence for your belief, it is simply a belief. So please don’t tell others they’re wrong before you do some research. Happy to see any evidence.

I’m not sure this is the win you think it is, but crack on

Even I draw the line at that!
