As per the title.

I have to admit that I do. Saves a flush.

no. Not because it’s horrible, because I’ve got no problems with the hygiene part, but because it can weaken your pelvic floor muscles to urinate in the shower. If you’ve got any bladder weakness it’s to be avoided.

I'm afraid to Google it! 🤣

I learned after the whole dragon butter debacle NEVER to Google anything I read on here

maxisback · 04/09/2025 19:55

I used to when we had our old set up of shower over ceramic bath. When we got our new non slip walk in I stopped. I have no idea if there is any logic.

Girlgoneinternational · 04/09/2025 19:56

No, I turn the shower on then have a wee in the toilet while the water is heating up. It's usually the perfect amount of time for it to get to temperature!

Those of you who do this, please, please, PLEASE tell me that you don't do it in public showers such as at the gym.😨😱

I'd say Google it. But don't. Just pretend you've never heard the phrase. 🤣

Only when I don’t realise it’s happening until it’s too late. My DH and DS both deny it but i know they do, there IS evidence

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 04/09/2025 20:06

If I need to go when I’m in the shower I go. I don’t see what the issue is. It immediately gets washed away and saves water.

How does that work? I can't see why it would make any difference.

Birthoptionss · 04/09/2025 20:08

No and can’t understand why everybody can’t just use the toilet (likely to be a few steps away from the shower…)

WeAreExperiencingHigherNumberOfCallsThanUsual · 04/09/2025 20:11

Some people buy electric car, some of us pee in shower.
Thinking of planet in different ways (and bills😂)

abracadabra1980 · 04/09/2025 19:53

Yes, but I live alone, I’m ocd about germs too, so I Domestos the blithery out of the shower tray afterwards.

Wee is sterile…

AmpleLilacQuail · 04/09/2025 20:12

I see nothing wrong with it hygiene wise but I thought it was bad for your pelvic floor??! So I only do it on occasion!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 04/09/2025 20:13

Occasionally, and per pp, our previous cat would wee in the bath if she couldn’t get out for the toilet. We had three litter trays for her, but I think she saw the bath as a giant tray.

pinkbackground · 04/09/2025 20:13

Er, no.

YourWinter · 04/09/2025 20:14

No. I use the loo before stepping into the shower, and flush it when I get out to help the soapy water away down to the septic tank.

It's not though. But it washes off

Cause I'm already wet in the shower, if I get out the shower to wee on the toilet I then need to dry the toilet seat. That's a faff and unnecessary, it just goes down the drain ont he shower

Soubriquet · 04/09/2025 20:16

I’ve added the image of what the dragon butter means (only words not a visual picture)

This. I used to and then found I couldn't hold pee very well at all so I've trained myself not to. Leaking is slowly getting better.
