Sweat trickling into my knickers, hair dripping wet… I’m seeing loads of women wearing long black silky skirts - that can’t be cool, can it?

What does everyone wear when it just gets so hot (and they have to commute - works is pretty chilled about what you wear).

Im just a big old sweaty mess…🥵

Thin, loose, cotton skirt with a cotton lining. I actively seek them out after I realised so many silk, cotton or even linen dresses were ruined by a polyester lining. With a loose cotton top, it keeps me cooler.

A sleeveless bias cut wafty dress, sometimes without underwear.

I'm nude in front of the industrial fan watching eastenders 😭

A thick fur coat 24/7.

Oh, that's my dog! She's being drenched with a water spray.

I also spray myself!

Fat arms and sweaty thighs. I like the idea of nice weather but in reality it sucks.

I’m wearing shorts & a vest top. I WFH so no office dress codes to worry about. No office aircon either, to be fair…

Where are you all that it’s so hot? I’m in the highlands, so it’s pleasantly warm but nowhere near unbearable

Today I've been wearing nothing but underwear and a collection of around eight frozen Flannels, placed about my body and moved around occasionally, alternating with more that I've got freezing, whilst using the others 😅

Occasionally I've sat with my feet in a spare washing up bowl filled with chilled water.

I'm in a caravan currently.

I wear pure silk or linen or cotton dresses in this weather for work. Or silk tops with linen trousers. A silk dress is my go-to for the hottest days of all though. As a pp has said it needs to be one without a lining!

Ive been in a hot kitchen all day, wore shorts and a vest top. Showered and went back out to a school thing in denim shorts and a tshirt.

Off work tomorrow, I'll be in a dress of some description, likely a tshirt type.

Frozen hot water bottle. The bed is a place of cool luxury!

Muslin cloth tops , thin t shirts, loose cotton trousers.
Bras get sodden and chafe.

Cotton culottes and a cotton lawn top with elbow length sleeves.

Long gauzy cotton dresses.
Long viscose or silk skirts with a cotton t-shirt or sleeveless top.
Floaty short sleeved shirts.
Light colours.
Sandals.

I find long and flowy cooler than anything fitted.

In London - so it’s ’dirty hot’! Bleugh. No breeze, niffink.

Natural materials and loose.

Today I'm wearing silk culottes and a very oversized cotton lagenlook shirt. I actually find it easier to stay cooler if I'm covered up.

I stopped buying man made fabrics a long time ago.

In Midlands 30 plus degrees. Working in a school. Knickers wet before first lesson. No concession re heat with uniform.

Same although I've got knickers on and I'm re watching The Good Wife 🤣

Cotton dress. I love it but I’m not a sweaty person and my house keeps cool.

My usual clothes

Long loose thin cotton trousers and loose thin long sleeve cotton top.

Might plan on going commando at weekend- home alone

Full uniform complete with filled utility belt and camera and a radio. And boots!

I’ve had a loose cotton dress and Birkenstocks on boiling here but I felt comfy . I do love heat though . Now very thin cotton pjs .
