I LOVE Boys Town Gang version of Can't Take My Eyes (one of my favourite songs) but no one else seems to know it.

RC took the Beatles version - (which I'd never listened to) - and reinterpreted it with his uniquely soulful, gospel vibe. It's now one of my favourite songs.

Bruce Springsteens version of Van Morrisons"Brown eyed Girl" off the top of my head.
Madonnas " American Pie" is far more lively than Don McLeans

I agree with many on here including Handbags and Gladrags, Smooth Criminal, Man Who Sold the World, feeling good, live and let die.

One I haven't seen mentioned which I love is David Grey's Say Hello Wave Goodbye.

The Soft Cell version of Say Hello Wave Goodbye is sublime imo, but I do think there is a better version and that's Marc Almond (Soft Cell lead singer) with Jools Holland

In my defence, I love DRATS, and I have both versions on playlists, but the Kim Wilde version has a different energy. Plus I’m an absolute sucker for banging 80s pop.

I'm a bit of a stickler as I'm a dyed in the wool Northern soul nut plus 60s Motown.

I thought of that one too and very nearly mentioned it - firm agree here.

I don't really have a strong preference between their version or the Commodores' version; however, I do have a slight childish chuckle when I hear the FNM one, at the bit when the singer makes that noise that sounds like he's just smelled a really noxious fart!

Cat's In The Cradle by Ugly Kid Joe, much as I do like Harry Chapin's original.

I like the Scissor sisters version of Comfortably Numb, and I like Faith no more's rendition of Easy.
West end girls by east 17 is just as good as the PSB version as well I think!
On the other hand, I really hate Adele's 'make you feel my love'. And much prefer the Dylan one.
There's loads more covers I like, Valerie by Amy Winehouse of course.
