I LOVE Boys Town Gang version of Can't Take My Eyes (one of my favourite songs) but no one else seems to know it.

We're you listening to heart 70s earlier? They played this while I was driving home from work. It's a great cover I had forgotten. And it's the song I have always sung to DD.

My fave covers are Lena Hall As the world falls down (bowie song from labyrinth) and maneskin Beggin'. I'm sure there are others but these are on my playlist atm.

i listen to a lot of rock music, so it is mostly male voices

So i look for covers of my favourite songs by female artists.

Another vote for Johnny Cash and Hurt, I'd always thought of him as a kind of comedy country act but the way he sings that song is so heartbreaking.

I'd also go for the Guns n Roses version of Live and Let Die, so much better than the original.

Also, I have never heard this version played on any of the stations I normally listen to, but will give Heart 70s a whirl now that I know they play gems such as this! (Still wrong decade though 😝)

I have spent about 10-15 years searching for a cover version of Tainted Love, sung by a woman, and with emphasis on the words “I’ll give you all a boy can give you” that makes it clear she’s singing about a lesbian/bi relationship. I think I must have listened to every cover on Apple Music, but no luck yet. Open to suggestions!
