Grease 2 is brilliant.

My opinion- star wars episode 1 (and to a lesser extent 2 and 3) is a great film. Nothing could match 4-6 but the 00s films were entertaining films.

Also the Godfather trilogy, it's really good and I enjoy it, but it's not as amazing as people make out

Pacific Rim is possibly the best film of all time. All films should have giant robots or giant monsters, or ideally, both

Lost in Translation was shit

I was just going to say the same thing. It feels horribly racist as the blue aliens stereotype aspects of African tribal culture. And then the most annoying character in the world does the whole white saviour thing. I've never cringed so hard!

Everything except Last of the Mohicans which is novel-adjacent and nowhere near as good as the book, but blomey, DDL is hot in that.

Avengers Infinity War is an utter triumph and one of the greatest achievements in cinema history.

I've not enjoyed any Sophia Coppola films. All atmosphere and no action.

The opening scene is one of the finest ever made.

And to remain at sea: The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (the 2004 film) is absolutely brilliant.

Oppenheimer was a really dull film that should have had at least half an hour edited out, and, crucially, was not as good as Barbie.

But he was into her BEFORE she changed into the tight pants! He'd been persuing her throughout the school year and they'd had a bit of a fling the prior Summer! She didn't need to change her look to get him! The change in her was to signify she was finally ready for him, NOT to attract him.

The Holiday is absolute steaming dog shit. The worst Christmas film ever made, even the glorious Kate Winslet couldn’t save it. And Jack Black as the romantic lead??? No no no no! Jack Black is fun, eccentric and unpredictable, not some boring film exec.

The Phantom Menace was the only Star Wars film I enjoyed!

Haven’t seen the BS/KK version but the latest one would have been an hour shorter if they cut all the f-words.

Another vote for Judy Garland (although the non-musical Janet Gaynor/Frederic March version is also worth a watch).

I always thought that. The cool one was a girl and the boy had to change his image to attract her. That seemed a lot more reasonable to me as a kid!

Agreed that the first SpongeBob Squarepanrts movie is excellent, much better than it needs to be. It’s the Lego Movie levels of brilliance with about 2% of the marketing budget.

I agree about “It’s A Wonderful Life” is just sentimental nonsense! I only watched it for the first time a couple of years ago, just to see what all the fuss was about, I absolutely hated it, dreadful film.
