I detest derogatory political nicknames but I’ll make an exception for Dubai Dick, that really made me laugh.

Making it up as they go along as far as I can tell. The phrase “Business as usual” was used.

Their policies really aren’t business as usual unless what they meant by usual is a “colossal fiscal shock”

The right wing brexshit loony side of the tory party (which is now the whole tory party...) wanted to go back to the 1930s
No welfare state
No forriners
Poor folk knowing their place
No workers or womens rights
It's really not that hard to see that
And there are poor, wc brexshit supporters who would agree, bafflingly.

Meanwhile, as a counter, I love them when they are clever and apposite.

They are part of a long standing English (possibly British) tradition of robust political discourse. If I were being mischievous, I'd suggest that to think otherwise is a little ... well unpatriotic 😀

The more extreme any party gets, the more obviously it runs counter to our mainstream bumbling along society. Right now, the least British party touting for votes is Reform. With the Tories coming a close second. Labour would do well to remember that.

Aye, but for those other poor folk. Not themselves.

It's like all those people who didn't realise that someone would actually want to look at their patriotic blue passport when they went for their annual week of swilling lager in Spain.

@PickAChew
Ah, yes.
The "others".
A few MAGA diehards have a had a shock when they realised they "scum" referred to by Trump and the GOP included them and their families

Pleased to see Starmer has apologised to Liz Saville-Roberts. 👏

The MP for Clacton is not in attendance for the statement.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy suspends UK-Israel trade negotiations and summons the Israeli ambassador over IDF actions in Gaza, which he says are "incompatible with the principles that underpin our bilateral relations" and an "affront to the values of the British people."

Same @BIossomtoes!
And I’ve walked 9.7 miles in 93% humidity so not much is making me laugh…
