Hello everyone! Thinking of you and yours @RunningKatie You really do have such a lot on. How is everyone holding up? 💐
We have a campsite off the lane where I help with the horses. On a sunny morning I can see the allure of an overnight stay and an al fresco breakfast. Further along they have woodland with converted shepherd's huts, and theoretically see the appeal, except...spiders. There are bound to be spiders!
@Aria999 how goes it today? Easing a bit? 🙏 I think there are worse things in life than my ineptitude with sudoku- it's taken me ten years of doing it daily to get where I am 😆 In another ten years I might manage the harder ones and utilise the auto candidate mode ( or scribble in the corners like DH does)
What lovely pictures @Mumtobabyhavoc! A great adventure for the little ones in an evening. Were they asleep when you got back? At one point I took my then one year old DS to the farm where I'd work in the evenings, and he'd nod off in the pram. By the time I had three it was more like Aria's story and magnetic tiles. In our case, they could have a pile of books to read as long as they liked, as long as they stayed quiet and in bed. DGC has a story then settles down to an audiobook and a gradually fading nightlight.
I like the long chatty posts @mumofoneAlonebutokay 💕 Like @SpringingIntoSummerLobelia I clearly remember the not so successful outings. There was always someone who was overwhelmed or unhappy with the choices or loudly complaining about not getting an ice cream! My happiest memories are simple ones too, like them all piling into our big bed in the morning, and singing nursery rhymes and reading stories and drawing. Honestly, I would be put right off my happy meal if MacD was as you describe!
How did you get on with the desk clearing @JingsMahBucket ? I get very flummoxed when my work space is messy so today I intend to get 'Monday morning ready' and have a clear space and an orderly, tickable list.
Lobelia you do inspire me about the garden and plants.
There's a thread somewhere about a poster's husband who is unhappy about her getting someone in to cut down overgrown garden because of bee welfare. Obviously other issues there...but, I am a bit the same, so the thread was very helpful to me as there were suggestions for insect friendly plants. Some good links too. We haven't mown the lawn this month ( no mow May) but it does need to be done now.
@Peridot1 and @petalpower @SpiritOfEdna 👋
I hope you are all having a good weekend 💕
