IMHO this invoking the Alien Enemies Act is simply a test to see if he could possibly get away with declaring Martial Law. After all, how far will it be from declaring immigrants as 'wartime enemies' based on perceived 'danger to the Country', to declaring the same thing about US citizens on some other pretext? The AEA was the basis of internment during WWII. The US Govt later acknowledged that the internment of Japanese (including US citizens) was wrong and horrendous. BUT if it's not racially based, if it's based on 'something else', what then?

An injunction has already been filed on the AEA and will work its way through the courts to SCOTUS. If SCOTUS rules in his favour, it's a big step closer to the demolishing of our Democracy and absolute fascism.

A timely reminder from Lord Acton: "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely". We are seeing this in action.

This is disgusting but it’s a symptom of the wider issue in that it’s now considered that women and people of colour can only possibly have achieved what they have as the result of pro-DEI policies. It’s as if they refuse to believe these people might have actually achieved something whilst also overcoming additional barriers 😡

I’ve just remembered Trump’s first Presidency and his kitchen roll stunt in Puerto Rico. He’ll get AOC either way, I’m sure. Watching all this going on, I am beginning to understand just quite how many White Supremacists there must be in the US who are longing for the days of plantation slaves, or just slavery. Decades, if not centuries, of hard work for equal rights, have been torn to shreds in two months. It’s appalling, but you don’t need me to tell you that.

This was always the plan. Do unconstitutional things, defy court orders to stop, get appeals filed, get it to SCOTUS, have them rule in his favour. And Bob's your Uncle, absolute power, the death of democracy, and hello plutocratic dictatorship.

Now P2025 would have us end up as a Theocracy. But Scrotus and the Tech Bros won't allow themselves to be constrained and controlled by religious leaders and the dictates of the Bible.
