I was in my mid 20s before I tried donner meat and that was only because I was helping a friend out in a takeaway for a while and it felt like 99% of orders contained a ‘pizza kebab calzone’

I didn’t hate it, but don’t feel like I missed out.

Took until my late 40s to try mushy peas.

With reluctance.

Once was enough.

Black pudding. Haggis. Razor clams.

Lobster and oysters.

I have never eaten oysters or aubergine.

In my 60's and I haven't eaten fried insects - I was offered a try in China but nothing on earth could get me past the look of them!!

For Tiramisu lovers, did you know Carte D’or do a lovely Tiramisu ice-cream? It’s very nice.

Tried oysters. Didn't think much to them, largely because within minutes I was on the floor. Apparently they are the only thing that I am allergic to!

Lots of seafood - cockles, whelks, snails etc. slimy little critters.
I tried an oyster once and that was enough 🤢
Mussels, clams and prawns I can do, but can also live happily without.
