Laws are only as effective as the ability and will to enforce them.
All our "democracies" have been built upon the premise that the law is respected by all - even the government. Once that concept is forgotten, there will only be one eventuality. It may be days, years or decades. But it will be arrived at.
This is why it is so dangerous to allow any government to "push" the law.
If Twitter (i.e Musk, let's not fool ourselves here) decide they don't feel like obeying the law, then what next ?
(The UK doesn't have any moral high ground here. The DWP and Home Office regularly try and outcompete each other to ignore court rulings).
