Odd misstep from Nige. To be fair he has been quite circumspect (certainly compared to some).

However this was always the risk he ran when he changed his mind and decided to stand as an MP. It's raised his profile beyond pub bore to tabloid fodder.

He's already allowed himself to be boxed in when interviewed, and he's hardly got started yet and has a vaguely sympathetic press.

I wouldn't want to alienate prettybird anyone, Pointy's first suggestion gets my vote

Reform are leading in a couple of polls. Much rejoicing in some parts of social media, I bet.

The priest in America: "Those of us in the pro-life camp adorn the full armour of God"
I had to read that twice because normally you'd say you'd don (put it on because you need it) the armour of God, not adorn it (make it prettier?).

I think he is a bit stupid, tbh.

Hopefully he'll fade into obscurity soon.

Adorn crops up a lot in biblical paraphrasing. I suspect there is a bit of "could of" about it. Other people say it so it must be correct!

Even ye old King James version says "put on the full armour of God"
