Similarly I don’t think he can do any wrong in your eyes. I wasn’t that bothered when the Labour Party got in. The Tories deserved to lose. I thought he would be safe and dull. Instead he is playing student politics.

The UK gets the politics it deserves.

derxa · 05/02/2025 12:55

DuncinToffee · 05/02/2025 12:52

No, you got that wrong. Plenty of things he does or says that I disagree with

Please name these things that you disagree with.

Please name these things that you disagree with.

His cowardice on closer relationships with the EU.
The way the WFA cut was implemented.
His support for Israel.

You really think we all adore Labour and Starmer. Maybe read back some threads and learn.

Oh she knows that. Very little point responding.

It's the weekly 'Tory Calls Anyone Not Right Wing A Starmer Fan Girl' post.

Followed up by "I'm not a Tory".

I think Emma Barnetts tactic to shit Farage up was perfect. We aren't interested in what you are against. Tell us what you want.

"I'm not your mate !"

One of the reasons I don’t like Starmer is his keenness on making lockdown rules stricter. He could have voice coaching over zoom.

It’s actually very, very difficult to do anything connected with voice/music/sound over zoom. Delays and the way transmitting sound changes it make it pretty much impossible.

If you want a glimpse of hell, try a zoom call with bluetooth headset over a 3G connection.

Definitely need more of that instead of treating Farage/Reform as entertainment.

Notonthestairs · 05/02/2025 14:19

"Kemi Badenoch's spokesman just now refused to confirm to me whether the Tory party still backed a two state solution in Palestine. Even the PM will do that. The Tories are more frightened of offending Trump than the actual government it seems"

bsky.app/profile/josiah.writes.news/post/3lhgpiayz6c2r

Not all that surprising given Patel's comments this morning - or given Badenoch's planned speech to the Arc conference.

Interestingly recent Dubai immigrant Tice got all upset when he was pressed on a policy point too.

Now there is someone who would need coaching over zoom.

Obsessed with an American deal. But wasn't asked what would be in it.

I don't know why we'd trust a word out of Trump/Leon's mouth.

The voice coach was advertising zoom sessions at this time. Anyway someone has made a report to the police about this so we’ll see what happens.

BIossomtoes · 05/02/2025 15:40

Sounds like wasting police time to me.

I think that offence melted away when courts realised the police were quite capable of wasting their own time.

@derxa I have no words.

PandoraSox · 05/02/2025 16:00

There were no actual regulations against going to work, were there? Just guidance to work at home if you could.

For example, you could still have work done on your house and so have tradespeople in your house.

Because these people are totally ignorant of what benefits there are to particular countries: each country has a particular trade profile.

Brexit people are often ignorant of other countries but profess to want to make money from them. The Conservatives seemed to think so. The time has long since passed when Britain could take this attitude. Such a mindset is only for those who can afford to pick and choose. We can't, thanks to Brexit.

Edited

No. Just non binding guidance.

Though he should seek a refund as he's not got the benefit imo

SerendipityJane · 05/02/2025 16:07

Labour missed a trick by not repealing all the Covid legislation as soon as they got in.
