Liam Payne for me I’ve loved one direction since I was 4 years old

I've got more than one.

John Lennon, he was my favourite Beatle even though he was awful to women. Robin Williams as he was my first crush. David Bowie for his music and the man he was. And not so much a celebrities but John Peel and the man who would have made a brilliant PM John Smith.

HarlotOTara · 19/01/2025 07:12

Only David Bowie - I grieved his passing

menopausalmare · 19/01/2025 07:13

Victoria Wood and Rik Mayall. Much loved.

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 19/01/2025 07:15

George Michael & Freddie Mercury

CaraCameleon · 19/01/2025 07:18

John Lennon. I still remember clearly hearing about it in the radio in the morning. It was really shocking and devastating. No one else has had that sort of impact since. I’m not really interested in celebrities in general.

xmaspomanon · 19/01/2025 07:20

Michael Mosley

CaraCameleon · 19/01/2025 07:21

Yes, actually Michael Moseley too.

shellyleppard · 19/01/2025 07:24

Queen Elizabeth, she was just always there throughout my life. I remember the silver jubilee party when I was a child. I cried when John Lennon and Freddie Mercury passed, both great singers and personality

AuntieMarys · 19/01/2025 07:26

Bowie and Johnnie Walker

Fridayfridaycatsandblamange · 19/01/2025 07:26

Paul O Grady. I’ve never been bothered by celebrities dying but it really upset me when he died. Also George Michael.

namechangedtemporarily123 · 19/01/2025 07:28

Prince and George Michael

tonyhawks23 · 19/01/2025 07:37

River pheonix

kellysjowls · 19/01/2025 07:39

Definitely George Micheal. Not so much at the time of his death, though I really felt sad for him, but more now for the loss of his talent & his personality. To me he had the most beautiful voice. I hope he's at peace now.

Justgamboling · 19/01/2025 07:41

Robin Wiliams - he was there throughout my entire childhood

FatAgain · 19/01/2025 07:43

Oh yea,

George and Freddie.

pilates · 19/01/2025 07:43

George Michael and the late Queen sad but not devastated.

grafittiartist · 19/01/2025 07:44

Kurt Cobain really upset me

LittleRedRidingHoody · 19/01/2025 07:51

Matthew Perrys death really effected me. I think that was it (though obviously all of them are sad/make me stop and think)

Crocsake · 19/01/2025 07:51

None really. I find it sad when people die, especially if they were young but I don’t have the personal connection to someone I’ve never met enough to be devastated.

Maybe I’m just cold, but I don’t really feel that bad when people lose their grandparents either (unless they were more like a parent to them).

Chuchoter · 19/01/2025 07:56

Not devastated as I didn't know him but I was saddened to hear of Peter Falk's passing.

And Margaret Thatcher and Red Rum.

Do you mean John Peel who was at the centre of so many sexual abuse allegations? 😳

SlapTheMelon · 19/01/2025 07:59

Amy Winehouse. I wasn't even a big fan but she just seemed like a sweet girl who was lost.

sanityisamyth · 19/01/2025 08:00

Diana Rigg, and a few others already mentioned on here

nongnangning · 19/01/2025 08:00
