What is the most miserable biscuit in existence?

DH and I are not eating sweet stuff for January and today he commented that he was so fed up with it he would even want to eat a really crap biscuit, so we were debating what that would be.

He reckoned the worst biscuit would be a Nice biscuit, but I think I would much rather eat one of those than a Garibaldi.

Is there a biscuit even more disappointing, that you would be less likely to accept an offer of than a Garibaldi biscuit?

Rich Tea. Or Malted Milk. At least a Nice biscuit had a vague coconut flavour.

NotOlive · 18/01/2025 13:03

Rich tea. Not worth the calories

OchonAgusOchonOh · 18/01/2025 13:04

I love garibaldi. Nice are ok.

Worst biscuit ever is custard creams.

Are Malted Milk the ones with a picture of a cow? At least they've got a bit of heft to them.

100% rich tea. The most pointless, bland biscuit in existence.

LittleRedRidingHoody · 18/01/2025 13:04

Rich tea 🤢 Or a Time Out, if you could that as a biscuit. Not a fan.

BaronessEllarawrosaurus · 18/01/2025 13:04

I was thinking nice biscuits but that's because I have completely shut out the existence of rich tea biscuits from my mind as they are so awful.

scandalot · 18/01/2025 13:05

Those pink wafers

I love a rich tea!

Ellmau · 18/01/2025 13:05

Rich Tea. Or a dull flavourless cracker which isn't even meant to be sweet but isn't savoury either.

I don't remember Nice being coconut, I thought they were sugar on top?

NormasArse · 18/01/2025 13:05

Custard creams should be illegal.

TheLastLady · 18/01/2025 13:05

custard cream

Ellmau · 18/01/2025 13:06

I quite like a pink wafer very occasionally.

HeffalumpsAndWoozlesAreHoneyRobbingTwats · 18/01/2025 13:06

Yup, Rich Tea. They're too smooth. With something plain like a Digestive you can at least put a nice bit of butter on it.
Also, Jacob's crackers are horrible. They have no redeeming features.

NewNameFor2025 · 18/01/2025 13:06

Rich Tea. Bland and dry.

SoNiceToComeHomeTo · 18/01/2025 13:06

I love a rich tea. Viennese whirls are my least favourite.

If a Time Out is allowed then I'm saying a Blue Riband. They aren't horrible, just bland and always taste vaguely stale.

Needmorelego · 18/01/2025 13:06

Nice biscuits should be sued for false advertising with their name 😂
Yeah rich tea are boring. Them pink wafer things are tasteless and go stale 4 seconds after you open the packet.
Malted Milk are pretty crappy.

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 18/01/2025 13:06

Rich tea. Only good for morning sickness

Waterboatlass · 18/01/2025 13:06

I don't like Garibaldi because I dislike dried fruit but it's just a plain biscuit which is fine really

Lemon puffs are nasty as are Hobnobs. Too sugary and disintegrating.

💯 the world’s most boring, most misnamed biscuit

Woah. That's a bit controversial.

OhshitSharon · 18/01/2025 13:08

I quite like a plain biscuit, Nice or Rich Tea would be fine by me. I may well turn my nose up at a jammy dodger though, the piddly bit of jam in the middle in no way makes up for the excess of tasteless double layer dry biscuit around the outside imo.

sometimesmovingforwards · 18/01/2025 13:08

A plain digestive.
I’d rather eat a dry cracker.
