Does everyone have a TV in their bedroom?

Lost the signal to the bedroom TV. Might be the storms I don't know but can't get any channels, and have now removed the TV.

Seems abit strange, but have got the radio instead and Spotify.

Not sure I'm going to bother replacing the bedroom TV, might just do without?

Has everyone got a bedroom TV?
What are your likes and dislikes about a TV in your room?
Anyone like me, not bothered to replace?

Nope. I’ve never had a tv in my bedroom and I don’t imagine that I ever will!

TheFlis · 03/12/2024 23:28

We used to but when we moved 4 yeas ago there wasn’t a convenient place to put it. We still haven’t bothered to sort one and I don’t miss it. If I really want to watch something in bed, which is mainly if I am ill, I just use the iPad.

Beamur · 03/12/2024 23:29

I don't have a TV in the bedroom. None of us do.

Lamelie · 03/12/2024 23:29

Never

Greyrocked · 03/12/2024 23:30

No

murasaki · 03/12/2024 23:30

I've not had one in a bedroom since I was a student I don't think it's conducive to good sleep. I read instead until I drop off. Tv is downstairs.

RedVelvetIcing · 03/12/2024 23:30

No. I don’t like TVs in the bedrooms.

Zonder · 03/12/2024 23:30

No TV upstairs at all here. Never will.

vladimirVsvolodymr · 03/12/2024 23:30

No never had, never will

MrsSkylerWhite · 03/12/2024 23:31

We do. Disabled husband, works full time. Done in by 7pm. Eat dinner in bed too. So, shoot us.

Cableknitdreams · 03/12/2024 23:31

I had a black and white tv in my room at college, but other than that never had a tv in my bedroom.

MrsAvocet · 03/12/2024 23:31

We've only got one tv in our house and we don't watch it that often anyway. I've never had a tv in my bedroom and have never really wanted one. Normally I don't go to bed until I'm ready to go to sleep, and in the morning once I'm awake I get up so I can't really think of any need for a tv upstairs, I'd just never watch it.

friendshipover24 · 03/12/2024 23:31

We have one but it hasn't been used for a year.

FuckItItsFine · 03/12/2024 23:31

No. Not since student flatshare days. Occasionally watch something on my iPad if I’m actually ill in bed but other than that I just read in my bedroom. No phones, MNetting or anything.

ScottBakula · 03/12/2024 23:31

Nope I don't have a TV in my bed room , I did very briefly about 10 years ago bit but got rid if it.
That said I dont have a TV anywhere in the house so I'm probably not a typical TV person .
If want to watch anything I do so on my laptop but I probably only watch about 5 or 6 hrs of TV per week

Sockmate123 · 03/12/2024 23:31

No, has to be some rooms without screens!

Arlanymor · 03/12/2024 23:31

Not since I was a student. Although admittedly I have an iPad and once in a while I might watch something on there.

Frith2013 · 03/12/2024 23:32

I've only had one TV, in the living room, of any house I've lived in. (Or no TV at all).

WarmFrogPond · 03/12/2024 23:33

No. I associate bedroom TVs with student flatshares where there was always someone doing tequila slammers or having sex in the sitting room, so you had limited access to a communal tv. It says ‘watching shite soaps while eating pot noodles under the duvet to me’.

MarmaladeSideDown · 03/12/2024 23:34

No, never had one.

underseige05 · 03/12/2024 23:35

Yes but can't tell you the last time we watched it.

Fordian · 03/12/2024 23:36

We did when the kids were babies and toddlers so we could watch stuff on TV without disturbing them, but I'm talking 22 years ago, in Australia.

Now when we go to bed, we tend to read on kindles or equivalent.

Leavealightonforme · 03/12/2024 23:36

No upstairs TV's here either.

livanlaterlaterlater · 03/12/2024 23:36

We have never had a TV in our bedroom and the children didn't when living at home.

TuesdayNameChangeArama · 03/12/2024 23:37

No. Like others, I haven't since my flatshare days as a student.

Sometimes I'd quite like to lie in bed and watch tv, but I know I'm fairly lazy by nature, so I'd end up festering in bed, watching crap tv more often than would be healthy.
