I've just seen Biden introduce president Zelensky as President Putin....its just beyond sad now, surely this has to be a big sway to stepping down?

This is absolutely outrageous. The biggest superpower in the world is being run by a person who is not all there mentally. Dangerous to the whole world. Whatever will the real Putin think he can get away with now?

Decisive action needs to be taken right away. The VP needs to be sworn in and Biden needs a rest and to spend time with family.

So so dangerous.

They still have time to find someone else.

This is awful to watch, and escalating. It's horrifying it's gone this far.

Biden said only god would stop him.

so no one is abusing him. They can’t work out how to get him off the ballot.

Have you seen how his wife talks to him? It’s like how I would talk to the dog for goodness sake. She is loving every moment in the limelight, no chance of her wanting him to step down.

It’s absolutely a disgrace that they’ve let this go on for so long. For the past six months, at least, we’ve seen him struggle when on the global stage/addressing the country, yet the puppeteers behind the scenes have been wheeling him out, drugged upto the eyeballs. He slurs his speech, so is obviously on some sort of medication to get him through stuff. It’s far too late in the game to replace him now. Trump will almost definitely be the next president, and the democrats only have themselves to blame. Handed it to him on a plate.

Many of us have seen elderly relatives go down this path and the stage Biden is at is difficult because they don't realise how they are in their most confused moments. In their more cogent moments they display the anger and defiance Biden shows that their mental acuity is being questioned.

It's difficult enough when it's just your retired Grandad you're trying to stop driving or trying to explain why he can't go out unaccompanied. When it's a US President it's a whole other level of difficult.

His family and leading Democrats such as Obama must do the kindest thing here and put their foot down.

If it happens this week there might just be enough time for a new Dem candidate to give the campaign a decent shot.

Good lord this is just awful. He can't hang on after this surely? They've had four years to find someone else and have chosen not to. I despair.

That's the problem. They need someone else in now, they are running out of time.

He made a joke of it and said ”I’m better!”

I read an earlier article that Biden + co were testing the public response to US Vice President, Kamala Harris. Feel like they are building the momentum to do the handover and it would be considered a bold stroke / a leader that listens.

Meanwhile, we get to endure being politically edged.

There was some white house aid saying does he have a diagnosis of parkinsons, no, is he taking medication for parkinsons, no etc the other day but didn't clarify why a parkinsons specialist visited the white house earlier in the year. Which is weird to address....if there was nothing to address

Fortunately the Biden administration has been very supportive of Ukraine so I'm sure Zelensky won't take it personally.

What if something like this happened in a more tense, hostile international situation?

It genuinely is sad. I think he is a decent man. He needs to step aside now or his legacy will be handing Trump another term.

It is frightening and awful to watch, and as a PP said it is a threat to our democracy. The western world needs a strong American leader - especially in the current climate with the threat of China/russia/iran. I heard on the radio that part of the problem is the money - apparently donations for the Biden//Harris ticket can’t be transferred to another candidate. It is a shame he doesn’t have a stronger VP.

I think they were ignoring it to their detriment but a hard deadline is approaching
