Trying out my election special name.

Going back to the dilemma posted on the previous thread, I'd rather 3 Reform MPs than 1 Frottage.

I think 3 is the magic number for maximum Reform craziness.

If everyone changes their names for election night at least I'll know @prettybird for the signature mumsnet emojis!

On reflection I agree - rather three Reform MPs than one Farage. If only for the joy of seeing him lose for the 8th time.

I reckon he'll win Clacton though.

I think there were predictions of a hung Parliament a few months ago.

I guess that poster hasn't checked in to the campaign or the news since then.

I think my biggest fear is turnout, it was discussed recently on The Rest is Politics about the risk of people voting for smaller parties, or not at all, because they see it as a done deal.

I might change mine to AngelaRaynersFanClub.

I think turnout might be on the low side, but not rock bottom - people are really, really angry with this government. Plus a lot of younger people have registered to vote.

Going back to Farage (I so wish we didn't have to, but..). I still think there is a strong possibility that
he wins Clacton, crosses the floor and by time of next election is Tory leader to a Tory Party that has moved even further to the right. Disillusionment with Labour, who I think will have difficulty fulfilling people's expectations for improvements in living standards, will see PM Farage in power before the end of the decade.

Please say something to reassure me that I'm wrong.
