Surely in order to know what a woman is, it is first necessary to know what a man is, and what their needs are?

EXCLUSIVE: Jeremy Hunt’s re-election campaign and CCHQ have accepted tens of thousands from a dormant shell company with undisclosed ties to a Mayfair private equity fund

The Tory Treasurer's department initially rejected donations from "Ironduke Management", fearing it broke Electoral Commission rules, then U-turned

So we don't know who are bankrolling ONG and therefore don't know who is putting £ into the Conservatives.

Well they aren't getting much for their money are they ?

Notonthestairs · 21/06/2024 14:53

Not really interested in whether they are happy with their investment.
We should be able to trace donations to their donors, not a dormant company.

I am similarly interested in who got the Reform wagon going. Banks obviously but beyond that?

I don’t know why Sunak thinks being condescending and belligerent to voters is a good idea. I guess it’s what has always worked for him.

But it hasn't, really, has it? He's won the seat in Richmond because it's near-impossible for a Conservative not to do so, and he "won" election amongst Conservative MPs only on the basis there were no opponents.

He strikes me as the sort who thinks when he succeeds it’s all down to him and nothing to do with being set up to succeed via the effort of others.,

There’s an’a vote for the Lib Dem’s is a vote for labour’ from the Conservative Party Twitter feed too. The Lib Dem’s responded beautifully with ‘a vote for the Tories is a vote for the Tories.’

itsgettingweird · 21/06/2024 15:57

Even in the dying days of government this lot still grifting & rinsing.
just been out canvassing, had fair few positive conversations apart from one who is voting reform because he wants to go & live in Spain & Brexit stopped that plan, I had no comeback I’m afraid apart from not being able to keep the wtf expression off my face.

This is what sums up the problems we have in this country with voters.

Lack of critical thinking.

"I'll vote for the party that caused the issue I have because I have that issue"

Fecking eeeddjits 🙄

I haven't seen anything. Maybe someone else can do it as I am PNG over there 😂

Scruffily · 21/06/2024 16:22

Came across another post wondering why the hell Charlotte Owen is in the House of Lords whilst wandering around Twitter.

I'd love Labour to open the books and tell us exactly why, once they get hold of them. Surely that's an incentive to vote Labour if ever there was one.

Alex Stafford proving yet again that the Conservative 2019 intake is a grubby bunch.

And no surprises to see Mercer throwing around accusations - frantic deflection from a poor record.

My incumbent Tory MP hasn't been to the first hustings event. She was the only one who didn't attend. 🧐

These people. Little left to say about them other than goodbye. ASAP.

Aww the Labour candidate seems like a nice guy

placemats · 21/06/2024 16:59

The shadow cabinet know how bad the fleeing government has left this country in. It's going to take more than sweeping up the detritus after a party, the night before Queen Elizabeth II buried her husband.

All of them should walk the walk of shame.

I saw that this morning. There was some confusion as to whether he was referring to the reform candidate but not making it clear in order to lead people into believing the Labour candidate was lying about their service.
It seems he actually did mean the Labour one. Not difficult at all to believe that Mercer would be lying.

Christ that is appalling behaviour, they really are the cesspits of supposed human beings really hope mercer gets his arse handed to him by the good people of Plymouth Moor.
Badenoch seems to being bigged up by few papers the last couple of days even though she appears to have been put in a secure cupboard the last couple of weeks, she is high up on my Portillo moment list.

RafaistheKingofClay · 21/06/2024 17:43

The worst bit is Mercer is ex military. He knows better than anyone else that if Thomas was special ops he can’t say anything. So asking the questions and then accusing him of being evasive is well below the belt.

Piggywaspushed · 21/06/2024 17:44

Have we all seen the opportunity to ask Sunak a question thread??

Piggywaspushed · 21/06/2024 17:45

Oh sorry, cross posted.

I'm assuming the answers will be typed jane?
