Tough times for No Dishi Rishi....

Ooh I like both suggestions equally

I've seen lots of LibDem signs. Massive. A few Labour. No Tory.

Haven't been out to the usually deep Tory areas around here yet. Usually huge ones at the edge of someone's land.

I have understood the radio news headlines this evening correctly that Rish! and Grant Shapps have been saying that they are campaigning to reduce the size of Labour's landslide.

A strange electoral strategy, but at least some signs of realism has seeped in.

Just when you think you couldn’t love John Crace more …

🚨 BREAKING: Rishi Sunak’s closest parliamentary aide Craig Williams placed a bet on a July election just 3 days before Sunak named the date

He is now under investigation by the Gambling Commission

For heavens sakes.

Imagine not even having the wit to get someone else to place the bet for him. 😂

DeadButDelicious · 12/06/2024 18:36

I got mine from the local Labour candidate.

Good shout! I'm already mithering her about SEN provision in schools. Might as well get a poster while I'm at it!

This is the kind of talent that is worth paying a lot of money for.

Just a quick bit of a thank you for you all on this thread. I rarely post on it, because I usually agree with most of what is said.

Some pages ago, someone posted about a boomer who was still a bit of a left leaning voter. Well, I'm another. I'm in my 70s now, I've never voted Tory and cannot see me doing it in my life time. (Never say never, Tory v Farrage in the future?) My mum (rip) was a Labour councillor still in her 70s. My daughter, whose degree was in politics, was a very active member of SWP (remember them?) In her early teens. Then became a bit apathetic until Johnson was elected. She joined me and my Mum in the Labour party within days.

So even one of the worst things inflicted on our country had at least that decent outcome.

I'm still in a nervous state about this election. I'm all so a fan of a particular football club. So I know, it's the hope that kills you. I keep going back in my mind to Kinnock in Sheffield, and shudder.

It will be a long night on 4/5 July

I know what you mean about 1992. I think a lot of us still bear the scars!
