Sending lots of love to you and your baby Havoc and hoping the antibiotics will kick in soon.

Yesterday after swimming I unpacked the new kettle and I said to DH do you think it goes and he said yes and I have a new kettle😆and he immediately went to start using it. He rinsed it a few times but had a few drinks today which have tasted a little chemically so rinsed it again and think its sorted. Bins are out for collection which is good as its really full.

Sainsburys order collected. Lots of nice bath foams for DS and I. Lavender and geranium is a new one which sounds perfect for DS.😂

DH is playing the piano. DD is having dinner with her boyfriend. We will have French onion soup and DS will have shepherds pie.

Havoc, I see our posts crossed. I'm glad they were able to give the AB's by injection. Improvement should be pretty rapid.

I'm trying to get a lot of HR related paperwork done by the end of the month.

They're going to switch to meds orally for now. Doctor says with baby needing oxygen, wants to see test results and because of baby's young age, we will likely be here a few days.

So sorry to hear you are back in hospital Havoc. Really hope the meds work quickly and that you will both be home quickly and safely. It must be such a worry for you.. I'm sending you both love and prayers for a speedy recovery.

I have pork mince to use up for dinner tomorrow. Must go and look up some websites for inspiration - nothing too taxing just a simple mid week dinner..

Just had the homemade French onion soup and also a hot cross bun with butter and a cup of tea. I was going to have a biscuit but somebody DS snaffled the whole box but had the hot cross bun instead.

Cat is asleep by DHs feet.

Penguisa, I love hot cross buns. I buy chocolate ones from Cobbs (Aussie chain bakery) and put some in the freezer to treat myself with after Easter. Every year I also see an article about how shocking it is that they are available sooo early (usually on Nine).
Half, was served pork chow mein for lunch with pork mince .

Yes he's been busy Mallards eating, bed hopping, eating, more bedhopping, some zoomies, eating and I smell of wild rose so attracting boy cats. 😂

I am exhausted - 3 long days in work and I have a cough which DS gave me. Not ill (nor DS) but so annoying and wakes me up 3-4 times a night. I overslept this morning and DS was late for school........

Sorry to hear you've got a bug in your house, too, Sprouts.

Baby was taken off oxygen this morning and is maintaining 96% saturation. Feeding has improved (and exhausted me last night! But i'm not complaining).

I can see the North Shore mountains and all the snow is practically gone. The Pineapple Express brought tonnes of rain and temps up to 15c. March weather, really. 😢

Dinner was sweet and sour sauce with beef meatballs, plain brown rice and steamed carrots. It wasn't horrible, but I didn't eat a lot of it. The noted meal plan written on my tray is Maternity: large portions. 😂😂😂
(There's a lot of humour hidden in that, I think. Bare in mind it is hospital food...).

Good news about baby's oxygen and feeding, Havoc. I'm glad they're feeding you too, and I hope you're feeling supported and cared for.

I must admit I have loved every single hospital meal I've ever been served. I think partly because I didn't have to cook it myself or clear up afterwards, but I have had some really tasty meals.

I spent a lazy evening indoors instead of going for my usual walk. It was cold and very windy out, and I just wasn't feeling the joy of exercise.

I am so over tired, though.
I ate a row of Fudgee-o's and two squares of Lindt dark choc w sea salt earlier. (Or, did I already mention that?🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤔)

95% sats is normal range for an adult, but either way that's good. Am happy to hear ongoing improvement. Are you getting much rest yourself Havoc?

Thanks for asking, feel a bit like my head might explode. We're going to the Cotswolds for 3 days today so hope walk, fresh air, hotel pool - just a break from the general busyness will sort me out

Glad to hear there’s better news of the baby, Havoc, although those sweet & sour meatballs don’t sound too appetising!

Us Brits keep talking nostalgically about Bagpuss but I can’t remember whether there was a picture to explain, for the non-UK among us. Here he is with Professor Yaffle, the learned woodpecker.

Glad baby is on the mend, havoc! It's so stressful when they are poorly, and hospital is never fun is it.

When I look at bagpuss I think of those rhubarb and custard hard sweets.

Away for work again/still, having an instant coffee in my hotel room. A treat to have a hot drink before it goes cold, but missing DH and ds. I've been sending videos telling him about my day and DH records him watching them, he tried to hug the phone in the one he sent yesterday. My heart!

I've been watching last tango in Halifax to fill my toddler free evenings, but almost finished now. Have booked a day pass for the local gym so I can do a class in my lunch break. Did the same class last week and was sore for 4 days! Think it's been over 2 years since I regularly exercised oops. Got my eye on a tofu katsu curry takeaway later.

Better sleep last night and everyone up in time!
