I so want a past midnight muller corner now !!

bizzey · 27/01/2024 01:37

Still got pain ..but not the sharp catch your breath pain sort of thing .where you are too scared to move !

Penguinsa · 27/01/2024 01:45

DD has put lots of muller corners in our upstairs fridge just outside my bedroom door, there's vanilla chocolate balls, banana chocolate, apricot and strawberry. She told me I could have as many as I like but I am trying to lose the Tamoxifen weight so I am trying to resist them. Please come and raid our fridge Bizzey 😂

Penguinsa · 27/01/2024 01:46

I actually got to sleep at a normal time then was woken at 12 by a cat poking me.

bizzey · 27/01/2024 01:58

I 've won !!
On the lottery 😁😁..

What shall I do with my £4.60 !!
🤣

Penguinsa · 27/01/2024 02:03

Invest in muller corners.

mathanxiety · 27/01/2024 02:05

Oh Tillly that's very hard for you.
Flowers

Havoc you've had a few very trying days and you must be running on fumes. I hope you can all recover quickly. You feel so useless when your baby is sick.

Penguinsa I hope your DH will have a negative covid test - and hope he'll get the ear infection (if that's what it is) under control.

Made curry this evening. Forgot there was leftover mac n cheese in the fridge.

Penguinsa · 27/01/2024 02:10

Thanks Math Curry sounds nice.

Bizzey If you have a nectar card you can get 12 muller corners from Sainsburys for £4. And you will still have 60p left. Almost as good as Bullseye.

bizzey · 27/01/2024 02:38

12 for £4 ...!! That is way better than a speed boat 🤣 !
And with 60p left over ..

That will cover the bin liners for Dusty Bin though !

Mumtobabyhavoc · 27/01/2024 04:05

Love this thread tonight! 😂😂😂

Penguinsa · 27/01/2024 04:23

🤣Bizzey I read Bullseye maybe returning. Keep practising that dart playing and I backing you and your DS to go on Bullseye and win that speedboat. You can eat the Muller Corners in it and put the wrappers in Dusty bin.

Tilllly · 27/01/2024 04:41

Tilly, well that doesn't look cheesy at all... Penguinsa, your post about the boat made me laugh. Perfectly written.
Math, I managed a good sleep for about 2 1/2 hours this afternoon and have just made a tiramisu and a chocolate chip banana bread and steam mopped the floors. I don't think my body realizes the lack of sleep...🤷‍♀️
And now there's no way I'm going to bed before I have a warm slice of the banana bread with butter melting into it...

Watching the US figure skating championships women's free skate on tv. Amazing.

halfpasteleven · 27/01/2024 08:13

So glad to read that you are home with your babies Havoc. Wishing you all a speedy recovery now.

DPs dad was in hospital all week. He had suffered a stroke without knowing. More tests to be done but they sent him home for the weekend last night as there won't be any tests done over the weekend. He is waiting over 2 days for a scan...
The health system here is a joke.

Sorry to hear about the driving Tillly.

Still coughing and DD has a head cold but we will be taking it very easy today.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend.

Penguinsa · 27/01/2024 21:17

Chocolate chip banana bread sounds great Havoc

So sorry to hear about DPs Dad Half

Went to the dentist today for a check-up and initially he was playing videos of the Maldives and then he gave me a water flosser video at the end. All OK apart from I apparently need a water flosser or all my teeth will fall out. 🤔Though when I said to DH, he asked what one was and I told him and he said that he needs one of those.

DD then asked for DH to drive her to the nearest city which he did and I had an order to collect there which he got but also found an old colleague there who he spent 2 hours chatting to despite being near death yesterday. He was supposed to take the old microwave to recycle but it was closed as he spent so long chatting so still in the car boot. New microwave is out.

We are having a Chinese takeaway for dinner, I am having the crispy duck pancakes with hoisin sauce and spring onion.

MissConductUS · 27/01/2024 22:20

I hope your little ones are still doing better, Havoc.

Half, the reason hospitals have their own labs is so they can get test results very quickly, and the scanning equipment is very expensive. It’s insane to let it sit idle for two days.

Penguinsa, water flossers are brilliant. They do a much better job than regular floss and are quicker and easier as well. I add a bit of mouthwash to the water for the antibacterial action and minty flavor. Your Chinese takeaway sounds fabulous. I used to love Chinese food but lost my taste for it during pregnancy and it’s newer fully returned.

Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow so it’s burgers on the charcoal grill tonight and the man will make the Mongolian Beef tomorrow.

Glad baby is ok Havoc. 80s gameshows are maximum cheese.

That is so rubbish Half, I hope he's ok.

Those pancakes sounds delicious Penguinsa.

I never knew pregnancy could change your taste buds MissC. I love the random things I learn on here.

I'm procrastinating. So much to do and I don't want to do any of it. I want to sit in the garden eating biscuits, dipping them in my tea, listen to the birds chartering away and plan a holiday - perhaps to some remote windswept moors. Instead I have to tidy up and clean and take out the trash and file my toenails and a million and one other dull but necessary things.

Deathraystare · 28/01/2024 15:46

@bizzey
Well you did slightly better than me on the lottery. I won just over £3.50 but when typing a post on here to crow about it and how you shouldn't bother with your begging letters cos I had already spent it on a toasted tea cake at M&S, I realised M&S do not have a good internet connection so my chatty post died.

So glad things are better @Mumtobabyhavoc. Not a mum myself, but I know it is very worrying when kids are ill, particularly babies.

@Tillly

Sorry to hear you are carless and the reason why.

@Penguinsa
Hope your DH is better soon and ready and willing to play with his little playmate!

@halfpasteleven
I hope your Dad is ok now .

@bizzey
I remember all those old gameshows but did not like them much. I really hated Catchphrase which is om again. I did like the Golden Shot though.

@bizzey @Penguinsa

I cannot have Mueller yogurt because they have gelatine in (or did). They were always talking about these at Slimming World. Anyway, now I realise that full fat yogurt is more satisfying for me.

Does anyone in UK remember these? Barmouth biscuits (no longer made and why are they selling an empty box?). They were so so lovely!

Tilllly · 28/01/2024 15:51

Not at all @Deathraystare, sorry

Been to church, made piri piri chicken, watched an ep of After the Flood
Now in bed... a nap is calling me

bizzey · 28/01/2024 17:07

Hello all...

Glad all the little ones are in the mend ...and any hug ones as well 😁😅!

Mallards .. Pregnancy does indeed change your taste buds !!

In fact it was how I knew I was pregnant with ds2 ....my first morning cuppa ...err...didn't stay down !!

Then I checked the calender and realised I was almost 8 weeks pregnant...DS1 had only just learnt how to crawl and was excitedly crawling towards me 😅😅!

With ds1 ...I went off tea ...so I knew !

I could drink Earl Grey though 🤷‍♀️.

Absolutely can't stand the stuff now 🤣

halfpasteleven · 28/01/2024 22:07

@bizzey I haven't been able to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in over a decade!
Went off it with DS and have tried so hard to get back into it as I LOVED my cuppa but it just tastes... well.. different is the best word to describe it.
With coffee I can't even bear the smell anymore and I used to love my lattes. I really miss them in Winter I have to say especially on a cold morning!

DPs Dad had a good weekend and is waiting for a phone call (tomorrow?
This week?) for his scan.
Thanks for all the good wishes.

cakewitch · 28/01/2024 22:14

Hello all! I'm new on this thread. I started work on my new allotment today
It's going to be sooo beautiful and it's got a big shed!! So happy

Penguinsa · 28/01/2024 22:36

Your food sounds lovely MissC

Hope you get chance to sit in the garden with tea and biscuits listening to birds soon Mallards

Interesting about the Muller yoghurt Death DD eats them and she is veggie. I won't tell her. I told her about parmesan and she was 😥Though on a quick look ones we have appear vegetarian and looks like they have some vegan ones too.

Piri piri chickens sounds lovely Tilllly

Glad DPs Dad had a better weekend Half

Welcome cakewitch

DD stayed at a friends last night and early this morning DH got a call can you fetch me as my friend is working so off he went and also took the old microwave for recycling enroute. Yesterday he picked up a teddy fleece duvet I ordered from Dunelm as they are great and they are selling off the last few and have put it on the bed now. Also got a teddy fleece jumper for DS, DD already has one and loves it. Then had a roast dinner with beef and had a hot chocolate.

Did some hoovering then cat de some refluffing of carpets. We have a special collection tomorrow for some extra rubbish sacks, we have put our 3 out, DD said she would make 9 but so far is still on the phone. We offered to take hers but nope. She has mocks next 2 weeks and study leave.
