Mallards, I have insomnia too. My GP didn't have a problem giving me Eszopiclone for it, which works really well with no side effect. The only issue with it is that it washes out of your system quickly, so after six hours or so, it doesn't keep me asleep, and I often wake up very early. My old GP left the medical practice I'm with at the end of the year, and I hope that my next one is just as accommodating about it. You're correct about most medics having an unfounded reluctance to treat insomnia.
Havoc, the test result for the baby sound positive. Fingers crossed she has a swift recovery.
Bizzey, I'm sure your beef curry smells great. I hope DH and DS make Mongolian Beef in the Instant Pot again this weekend.
DS has had some more job interviews and spoken to two recruiters who focus on finance and accounting jobs and feels pretty positive about his situation. I think he also appreciates that living at home since he graduated from uni was a smart decision. We try very hard to give him as much space as possible. He has our 4th bedroom on the lower level converted to a home office and man cave with a TV so that's his retreat.
I'm on carried-over annual leave again today, so I've done some clutter-clearing and reorganizing in the garage to make room for the new fridge. It's going to be a bit bigger than the old one.
