Well , I think the sky has discovered
Head & Shoulders shampoo....as it has stopped now 🤣🤣!!

Deff on the nippy side though...
Chart says 0c...but feels like -2c

Then another chart says 3c 🤷‍♀️ !

Heating is on and I am ready for some housework so that will keep me warm !

There's snow forecast for tonight, plus gusty winds, so I'm off to get some much-needed groceries at lunchtime. I'm wfh today, which is very handy.

Hoping DD3's flight will be able to take off on Wednesday, what with the Boeing technical problem and grounding of some planes and outr weather. She needs to get her packing done regardless, but she tends to leave that chore until the last minute.

math ..My ds1 is the king of last minute packing !
It completely stresses me out !🤣.

He was packing to go to his USA university exchange thing...

2am,, in the sitting room still packing and reorganising his bags ....
Can was booked for 5am !!

I couldn't settle ...so we just kept going on coffee and moved the cab to 4am !

I said I would rather be at the airport trying to keep awake ...than sitting on my cosy settee !

We must have got a second wind and it worked out fine.

But his packing was fantastic !

Big mess left in the sitting room after he had rejected loads of things to pack ...but .......he got everything in 1 suitcase and a rucksack !

Thank god for vacuum bags !!!

Ì quite llike aubergine but never bother cooking it myself. I hate that it takes so much oil orbit can be bland. Yes I now eat fish. Thought if I ate oily fish it would help with my àching joints. Huh!

Death, I agree. When I switched to baking it I found if I seasoned the egg, flour and bread crumbs it turned out better.

We also had a dusting of snow this morning, but the rain had taken over now.

Glad the water is back at last MissC. I was going to suggest melting snow with your heat source to warm the water through a little then washing with that from the bucket.

Havoc I may have you try that recipe,. Sounds delicious and I have some tofu I didn't know what to do with.

I suppose you have the type of heart failure where it's grinding to a slow halt Death and they're trying to prolong it with the pills, I'm sorry, must be difficult juggling everything to stay as healthy as you can. Fingers crossed you'll be around for quite a while longer.

So now I know what nugget means. (Southerner here!). Adds No Offense to my watch list.

V cold here, tried to snow yesterday but failed miserably. Didn’t stop DC1-3 screeching about wanting a snow day! We’re up and racing on with the morning.

DD has an offer from Oxford University for Economics & Management. 🍾

DD has said we need to get pizza tonight from one of those chain pizza places, she loves it so will get it, it tends to be soggy though, and said no champagne as she doesn't like it.

There's lots of snow on the ground, but we're in for 2-4 inches of rain in the next 36 hours, so it won't be here for long.

I got a picture of DD's wedding shoes, but didn't take them out of the bag for fear of getting them dirty. They're perfect for her dress.

Celebrating new babies , joining in with wedding preparations and now exciting Oxford University 😁😁😅!

Thanks MissC She is so happy and I am so happy. DD only wanted to visit Oxford and is totally in love with the place, people and course and I am very relieved she got that and it starts 2024 very well. She has to get the grades which are A*AA with an A in maths but 97% of people go there from an offer for this subject so odds are very good. We have to look for an insurance place (2nd choice) but that's only for if she doesn't get the grades and Oxford say grades are too low for a place. Love your DDs shoes, mine were a bit like that with higher heels but high heels can get hard to wear all day.

Thanks Bizzey I agree its such a wonderful thread with wonderful people on it. Not doing too well with the dull at the moment are we with a wedding, a new baby and an Oxford place but its so lovely to share good news.

Just catching up with the thread, been very down, I think just my body (or brain) reacting to the madness that was December. Dr has increased my antidepressants.

Did a large load of laundry and it is now hung up. Also, made a banana bread with choc chips... but, forgot the pecans I had planned on adding. 🤦‍♀️
Going to take a quick bath and take Havoc out for some 1:1 time shortly.

Reading through a thread I started asking for help in choosing mam a mobility walker...have had loads of helpful replies....hope my shooting 🌠 is a good omen that I help her get the right one !!

AND ..I won £3.60 on the lottery tonight! 😁😁

Well ...... technically £1.10...as the ticket cost me £2.50 🤣🤣🤣🤣!

Ohh and as an aside ...I seem to be able to get the elusive ITVX now , on my old TV upstairs!

It was so funny !

I had to stop watching it last night as the whole house was quiet and I had head phones on ...but I just kept bursting out with loud laughter!

I highly recommend it as a fun , non offensive comedy .

So hope he does a series 2 .

I've had a nice day with a walk and lunch with a friend from work who I've not seen in 3 months

Then went to see one life - worth a cinema trip - and tea at harvester with another friend!

Am now getting lots done as am wired on steroids ahead of tomorrow's chemo!
