Hi @TawnyT one of the things i love most about mumsnet is the little things i have learnt on the way. Eg i had no idea what a CTO is, so i googled it. I really love the snapshots into peoples lives, and I've opened my mind to different perspectives. I am extremely naive about the many careers out there as I've said before. I mainly engage on this thread though hop onto others as and when, especially tv and wordle ones! But I read a lot. am very impressed at people who can do presentations though years ago I used to teach horse riding and so I do have experience in working with groups. Classroom or work settings so much more daunting though.
👋 @Periodot I hope you have a lovely evening! Is DH still micromanaging?
My little bump has been quoted £600 to fix. DH is all about the bump causing the value of the car to fall, but I'm all like, (using my SD's vocal patterns here 😂) the car isn't new babes,
it's a workhorse, I always keep my cars till they fall to bits and it's a tiny bump anyway.
I think he's wondering now why he didn't stick with the ex (tbf she ran off with another man and didn't leave him with much choice!) Ex at least understood the importance of not reversing into village memorials, and probably didn't squeeze her vehicle into hedges like I do. But she also didn't pay for her own car. Yes ladies, it's my bloody car he's complaining about (I daren't drive his, at least not when I am having a fraught week 😂) Also he doesn't like mud in his car, and with my lifestyle, mud is a non negotiable, though i don't bring it into the house!
It's very rainy here too @WinterLobelia! I'm just back in and am about to have a bit to eat then roll up my sleeves and behave in a proper housewifely fashion.
BRB 💐 ♥
