Whatever happened to - Timotei shampoo??

One of the biggest brands of my 80s childhood and 90s early adult hood. The woman with the long golden hair frolicking by a waterfall, and a horse (?) Huge selling brand, it was everywhere and everyone used it.

Then at some point it completely disappeared. What happened? Was it replaced by "Because I'm worth it" and the Herbal Essences woman?

Yes I do , they were in a tall box . Little double-sided squares that foamed (one side more abrasive )

Enjoy, @BeverleyMacker . I use solid shampoo bars (which were definitely not a thing in the 80s, even from Cosmetics to Go) but haven't found a decent solid conditioner.

I too have bought the shampoo and conditioner.

The shampoo is thinner than it used to be, but the conditioner is just as I remember it!

Does anyone remember shampoo de parfum? Smelled gorgeous.

Oh my goodness yes, I can still smell that conditioner too! I miss it.

On the basis of this thread alone, I too will be making a bee-line for B&M for the elixir which is Revlon Flex.

Someone mentioned Boot's Natural Collection?- I bloody loved that range. It was their blackberry bath foam that made me realise I could achieve an altered state of consciousness in the a hot bath. I wish they would bring all of those products back.

I used to use Flex in the 90s! Saw bottles of it in Home Bargains the other day and had a pang of nostalgia. And absolutely; it had the consistency of lumpy, thick custard but oh! the smell was devine!

Was this the one in clear plastic bottle with matching conditioner available? And there was also, IIRC, other scents in the range: chamomile,(?), honey (?), a pale green one - maybe called something like sea minerals (?)

The conditioners were quite sparkly/shiny. Was looking for these on google the other day but no trace, weirdly.

Just wanted to mention that I just purchased a couple of bottles of Timotei shampoo from makeupstore.com. I’m in the States, and shipping takes about a week from Poland. Free shipping with $59, otherwise $9.

Although Timotei wasn’t available in the States where I grew up, I did try it in more recent years, and really like it. I love a nice, fresh smelling 80s style shampoo (the sulfate free expensive stuff doesn’t work for me).

Can’t wait to get it!
