I'm losing track of how many cases Braverman has lost. Wonder how much this is costing us.

And the fact that as a lawyer she should have at least some knowledge of cases she can and can't win and save the taxpayers money fighting battles she should know she will lose.

Unless she's a shit a lawyer as she is Home Secretary and MP of Fareham.

you took aim at that nail and hit it square on the head.

Braverman lost 3 court cases this week

Home secretary’s withholding of payments for healthy food for children and pregnant women found to be unlawful

Home Office ordered to change rules that restrict help for trafficking victims
Court rules all potential victims must be assessed for support, after policy disqualified people with criminal convictions

‘Routine’ use of hotels for lone child asylum seekers is unlawful, UK court rules

It's got disaster written all over it..

RafaistheKingofClay · 27/07/2023 21:35

Given how shit she was as Attorney General I don’t think there’s any doubt.

High Court dismisses legal challenge by five Conservative-led councils against expansion of London’s ultra-low emission zone.

Mayor Sadiq Khan says Ulez expansion will now go ahead at end of August as planned, bringing cleaner air to five million Londoners.

In a turn no one saw coming, Evgeny Lebedev has waded into the Nigel Farage/ Coutts row.

In the newspaper that he owns, the multimillionaire son of an oligarch, who sits in the House of Lords courtesy of disgraced ex-PM Boris Johnson, claims he’s the victim of Russophobia.

What has Farage got to do with Russia I wonder?

FT reporting that Sunak personally intervened in the Alison Rose business - and that intervention led directly to her resignation.

So he's able to take time out his day to do that but not with Dorries wasting taxpayers money and failing to do her job or to read 6 page Privileges Committee report.

Meanwhile housing/NHS/education/CoL crises rumble on.

What are we paying him to do?

A victim? Oh poor thing.

What possessed him to complain and create more circulation of those allegations?

Hmm. Vanity?

RafaistheKingofClay · 28/07/2023 15:02

He’s not the sharpest tool in the box is he?

RafaistheKingofClay · 28/07/2023 15:13

I’m news of other blunt tools, today is Grant Shapps’s turn to criticise Sadiq Khan over ULEZ expansion. Which obviously is causing people to tweet the letter signed by Secretary of State for Transport, Grants Shapps, requiring SK to speed up the expansion of ULEZ.

At least people are waking up to seeing what they read and hearing what they hear.

Instead of accepting being told what to think depending on what the government tells them.

Clip of 30p Lee on Gbeebies in tweet, it's real 😂

I'm duly warned.

Piggywaspushed · 29/07/2023 10:36

What did I just watch??!?

IClaudine · 29/07/2023 10:52

I don't get the 30p Lee thing. He is making a joke about students being turned "woke", yes? But why, given that his party are the ones who whine about the wokeness of universities?

Am I being dim?

DuncinToffee · 29/07/2023 10:53

Wait until you see Johnson's daily heil column, the message from the Barbie movie is more babies.....

Very pleased to read this -

NEW: @BloombergUK Saturday read

Rishi Sunak is “rolling the dice” this summer, ramping up his political attack operation and leaning into controversial cultural issues that create dividing lines with Labour, Tory ministers and strategists say

Green transition, changing workplace culture, trans and migration all part of the same argument, Tories say

— ‘the world is changing, the Tories will manage it carefully but Labour will move too fast’

— Expect more re Labour not being “on your side”

Perfect method to alienate anyone in the centre. Or has a mortgage. Or rents. Or uses state education. Or the NHS. Or public transport.

Notonthestairs · 29/07/2023 11:33

30p Lee & Johnson both concentrating on the issues that really matter. 🙄

DuncinToffee · 29/07/2023 13:21

JRM is at it too
