I've just been listening to Spotify at work in the office and the new song "0800 Heaven" has come on and I'm sat blinking away the tears...not really sure why.

The song "The Christmas Shoes" ALWAYS makes me cry (lyrics).

What songs give you that unintentiomal teary feeling?

Also to perk the thred up a bit, what song if you listen to it, just gives you a really happy feeling?

Bright eyes when a child and even now

PretzelKnot · 05/07/2023 02:05

Evie Part 1 (Let your hair hang down) , Part 2 (Evie) and Part 3 (I’m losing you) . Part 3 is the sad one as he can’t help the love of his life as she is dying in childbirth. All 3 parts need to be listened together to get the full impact.

Every time: M83 - Outro Sky King - suicide pilot in the US, sad story and captured on video, I usually lose it at "I was never on planning on landing it"

Also have bawled at The living years, by Mike and Mechanics, and Forever Young (Hafod's shop advert Becky Hill)

My kids are embarrassed at me !

Fly High, Skyking

While this video isn't along the lines of what I usually post, as it isn't an animation nor is it directly doomer related, it is something I've been thinking...

Gerrataere · 05/07/2023 07:11

Oh I forgot, Dakota by the Stereophonics. It’s not a particularly sad song but it takes me back to a very specific place and feeling that you can’t get back again.

watermeloncougar · 05/07/2023 08:58

@Gerrataere oh yes, the song from Waitress is a right old tearjerker as well.

And The Drugs don't work by the Verve, such a sad song
